| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | They rescheduled the spinal tap for Monday as long as he doesn't have a fever for 2 days. My son has decided he wants to learn to play guitar since it is something he's always wanted to do and he is having trouble sleeping and concentrating so he thinks this would help him take his mind off of things. I took him yesterday and we picked it out, along with the needed accessories. We also found an instructor that will be able to teach him as he isn't able to see what he's doing. Unfortunately the guitar won't be here for a week (the only one in stock was damaged) but it's something for him to look forward to. I know this seems trivial but I'm just happy he has shown an interest in something and isn't contemplating "ending it." Thank you to everyone again...I can feel your thoughts and prayers as the days progress. It is still difficult but I'm feeling calmer and more positive. I'm hoping for good news after the spinal tap...although at this point I'm not sure what the good news could be...I'm still praying for it. |

| Thank you for the update. Hoping that your son feels well enough on Monday to get the spinal tap, and hopefully lead to diagnosis. Waiting and not knowing is very hard to bear and you both must be relieved that he is at last getting tested. Praying that whatever they discover is treatable and that he will be on the mend soon. What a great idea to learn the guitar!!! I admire him for thinking more positively now and less depressed. Hope he gets the guitar soon and a wonderful teacher. How badly is his sight affected and have the docs indicated if he may be able to regain some sight with time? Warmest wishes, thoughts and prayers. Try and have a peaceful weekend. Hugs. |

| Praying he will be well enough for the spinal tap and to have a diagnosis. It is so really great that he wants to learn guitar! What a wonderful thing that is...not only therapeutic but such a fun instrument to make music. Hope the guitar gets there soon! Your son is remarkable. Hugs to you and all.

| Thank you for the update. It is wonderful that your son has something good to look forward to, in the midst of the disturbing undiagnosed illness. Keeping positive thoughts is an important key to his healing, and music is a wonderful tool.

| That desire of your son, while waiting for frightening tests and news that may change his life, to learn to play a musical instrument he can feel and learn by touch, hear and enjoy, even when his vision is bad, speaks volumes about the young man you raised. I'm so impressed by his amazing strength so early. How many young men wouldn't at first think it better to end things vs. living a different life than they want? Anything is better to the young than sickness. But given only a short time, this young adult has rethought his position and priorities, made some quality choices and reached out for something productive and beautiful to achieve. He's seen the necessity to keep his mind and body busy learning and has the strength to go about getting that started. He's impressive, that young son of yours. While going through hell, he's managed to start re-inventing himself to manage whatever is coming his way. One can't help but root for such a young man. I'll always pray for him.

| What a wonderful preparation for something he wants in his "future".....a future he was not so willing to accept not very long ago....shows a great strength and attitude, and he is obviously more positive about whatever his future is. This is great news....his spirit has turned.....without wanting to offend anyone, I just want to "quote" a scripture that I get great strength from....Jeremiah 29:11....."I know the plans I have for you.....plans to give you hope and a future....". In the darkness, your son has stood still, as He tells us to do when our souls are in turmoil and chaos, and he has been touched....he has received Guidance! "If He leads us to it, He will lead us through it"..... |

| Praying the test goes well tomorrow and the answers and whatever treatment is needed can be started soon. How's your son doing - getting any rest? Does he feels like having a friend or two in? How is mom bearing up?

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | There's no fever yesterday or today and the spinal tap is scheduled for 2pm so it looks like it will get done today. Waiting is killing me and lack of sleep as well. I'll update when I know more. |
