| I'm going for the glue, then! Ugh, I so hate having to interface at all with doctors and testing and surgery and it seems I'll be doing a lot of that for the next two years according to the biopsy team nurse liaison. But I know it could be way, way worse, I could have this stuff and be living in Iraq or Ukraine or Syria and have no access to anything(plus much worse) so I'll be so grateful for living where the best treatment is available ASAP, no matter how much I'll dislike going over and over for things. I'd rather have it and hate having to have it than be totally without any of it.

| Jeanie, I'm sending you hugs and prayers this morning. One little suggestion I have (maybe you already do this), is to get copies of everything and keep your own "master file" handy. There will likely be multiple doctors and facilities involved in your treatment, and over time it gets confusing. They don't always share info quickly, and it is helpful to have copies available for reference (blood tests, diagnosis, scans, procedures), and to remember dates & appointments & meds. It can also avoid duplication. I did this in my husband's cancer treatment, and often I was able to provide helpful info to various doctors that they had not received. I also hope you have a family member or friend that can be your "patient advocate", and also be the person to communicate with other friends/family during your treatment so you won't have to constantly repeat your updates. Take care, stay strong, and nurture yourself however and whenever you can.

I will get those copies. Hadn't even entered my mind though Baylor automatically send you reports on all its breast imaging studies - probably by law or something. That's an excellent suggestion as I hadn't even thought of it this time. Brain is still a little shocked, thank goodness. That's why I needed YT - knew there would be so many here with quick brains and experience in this disease. Thanks again for those prayers!

As a caregiver I also found it helpful to keep a journal in a calendar book, and I tried to make a personal notation daily of some little thing I was grateful for starting with "Just for today, I ...." . It's funny looking back at those notations which became a "Stop and Smell the Roses" type of reminder, and so many notes were about things related to doggies and puppy kisses. Praying for cure and healing for Jeanie.

Sheila & I are very blessed to know you, and we don't want you to be afraid. We will continue our prayers, and I will watch this thread, until you post and say, "I am home, they removed all the cancer!" God Bless & be with you, Jeanie. Rich | |

| To tell you the truth, that hematoma after you lost so much blood scared me. I was really scared for you. What ever happened with it - did it resorb on its own? I sure hope they figured out why you bled so badly during and after that surgery.

| Thankfully, it reabsorbed like you said. To tell you the truth, the doctors looked like deer caught in the headlights when they would see me afterward. I never did get a straight answer as to what caused it…something the doctor may have done or the lovenox. I am glad that is all behind me and my femur/hip is doing great after having the plate and screws removed. Thank you for being there.
