Thinking of you, Patti and praying that you are getting some rest. You sounded so tired tonight when we talked. I hope you can get to talk to someone tomorrow and get some answers. Hugs to you and lots of love! |
Contining to pray for Ken and you... glad your daughter was able to come to be with you and help. ETA: Will Ken eat Jello? |

Ken is the same today. Not eating just sleeping. He wants to go home. I finally got a call from the PA after telling his oncology nurse at the cancer center no one was returning my calls or the nurses pages. Within 10 minutes I got a call. I am trying to get Ken discharged (his wishes) and we are taking a break from further chemo until Ken can withstand it. We will just pray he remains stable without treatment and the further away from chemo he gets the better able to eat and build some strength. We meet with his oncologist Monday and will discuss what to do in the mean time. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, I could not have gone through this with out all your prayers and support. So many have reached out to me on this scary journey and made it a little easier. Connie you have been my rock! Thanks again. |
I pray that Ken rebuilds his strength at home, and you too. Sending healing thoughts and light your way... |
Hi Patti! I sure hope you got ahold of your nephew to help you get Ken home. Hugs to you...thinking of you nonstop! |
You have so much support here... just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of and praying for you, too. I have a friend who has cancer and has decided to not receive any treatment... he is actually doing pretty well. He doesn't eat a lot like he used to but he does eat. He's very thin but gets around and still can enjoy some of life's pleasures. I pray it will work well for Ken too and that you can both have some peace. Blessings to you both. |
Continuing to pray for you folks. So glad you are giving Ken the gift of making some of his own decisions. Enjoy being away from the intense medical environment for a while. |
I just wanted to say I am continuing to pray for you and Ken Patti....my own father went through this 5 years ago, and i know it is agonizing. I hope Ken will be able to gain some strenght once he is home...again please try and take care of yourself as well Patti. God bless you both Jacqui |
Thanks so much. I got Ken home about 6 pm tonight. He is much weaker than he was when I brought him to the hospital but he did eat a few bites of a hamburger tonight. He is much happier being home. Jay I agree Ken is the one having to suffer and he needs to decide when enough is enough. Thanks for the support. |
Patti Dear, keeping you and Ken in prayer, sending a big hug to you Patti. I am just learning that Ken most likely went home today, hope that your sis or another family member can come and give you a hand. Please Patti take care of yourself, it is really wearing on one when being a caregiver, however God carries us through these trying times, I pray you feel HIS arms about you and that your heart be comforted with all the wonderful folks here at YT Family continually lifting you both in prayer. Much Love and Hugs from us both, Patti and Jack |
Just checking in to see how it's going. Glad he is home if that is his choice. Sending prayers for the two of you and your whole family. |
Hope Ken is feeling better at home, and at least more comfortable. Praying for you all... |
Sending prayers to you, Ken and your family. |
Patti, sending prayers for Ken's comfort at home, and praying for both you. No words seem adequate, but know that I am thinking of you. {{{{{{{sending a million hugs}}}}}}}} |
