I'm keeping you and Ken in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm remembering Ken in my prayers each day. I pray he will regain some appetite I also lifted you up to God in prayer asking Him to give you strength during the days ahead. |
Patti, I am keeping Ken in my prayers. I hope they can get him so that he has an appetite again. |
Thanks. They started Ken on Chemo again Friday and his potassium level had gone down a little more so they increased his potassium powder to 2 times a day. They put him on an appetite stimulant but he keeps throwing it up. He is barely eating a thing and can't explain why. He said his back pain seems to be a bit better. I am hoping the fracture and the cancer in his spine are improving and he can get off the morphine soon. as always thanks for the support and prayers. |
Patti, I am sorry to hear the news about his vomiting and weight loss. Hoping they can find something to help Ken keep his food down and feel a little better. We will keep the two of you in our prayers. |
Thoughts and Prayers for you Patti and Ken Patti I pray things are improving with the treatment plan for Ken. My heart feels the pain and anguish you are going through, it is the hardest when our loved one is going through so much, I keep lifting you in prayer. I hope Ken's Medical team was able to get some of what we discussed going for him. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you with greatful hearts, giving thanks for keeping Patti in your care providing her the strength she is receiving from you as she cares for Ken,we don't understand the whys in this ole life but we know these trials and sufferings we endure in this life is only temporary for you have prepared our eternal home and we give thanks to you for loving us all and know your plan is perfect. We are so thankful for the time we have together here and your sheltering us with your love and guidance in our decisions we must make in our lives. Bless each that are providing medical care for Ken, asking that each will seek wisdom through you as they make decisions in what treatments to provide. We ask all things in Jesus name, Amen Hugs to you Patti and Ken, from the both of us, Patti and Jack |
Patti...my heart breaks for you and Ken and for Jessie too. I hope you can get him into his regular doctor tomorrow and they can help you. Thinking of you always! Love to you and Ken. Patti...(Baby Blessing) What a beautiful prayer. I hope you and Jack are doing better! |
Patti, Keeping you and Ken in my prayers daily. |
Thinking of you tonight, Patti and Ken. Sending gentle hugs and prayers. |
Thanks. Ken had hydration Monday and Wednesday and that helped him feel a little better. He had gone 2 days without hardly eating a thing. Last night and today he has eaten a tiny bit better. He goes for chemo again tomorrow if his blood work is ok. I am getting upset with the oncologist. He pretty much has turned Ken's care over to a PA Physicians Assistant that were not to crazy about. I tried calling him the other day and the PA called back and was suppossed to discuss the not eating issue with the doctor and get back to me. That was 2 days ago and she never called back. I am starting to think that we should stop the chemo for awhile and see if Ken can get some strength back. I don't see how he can go through 5 more treatments in the condition he is in. Next week he is off chemo and on 4/30 we have an appointment with the oncologist hopefully he will be there. Your support and prayers have been so helpful. |

Patti..I know I have asked this before. Does your insurance company have an assigned nurse case worker? Maybe talk to them? I would demaind an appointment with the doctor and state your concerns. Remember they many have many people they are treating but Ken is no 1 for you!! You are in my prayers as always. |

You both are still in our prayers. Hopefully you can speak w his dr and get a gameplan underway to deal w these complicating issues poor Ken is experiencing. (Sometimes squeaky wheels get the grease! ;) ) |
Can they put Ken on that portable feeding tube to get some calories & vitamins into him? And I have heard it said that medical marijuana can help boost the appetite and relief pain & nausea. That's one of the main reasons those for it give for wanting it legalized. Ken is always in my prayers - that his breakthrough is only a short time off and one day he wakes up feeling stronger and his tumors shrinking. I, of course, pray for you, too, Miss Patti. God bless you both. |
Ken and you are in my prayers. |
