Thanks. Ken is having a very difficult time eating. A week ago he weighed 103. I'm sure he has lost a few more pounds. I am going to call and see if they can find out whats causing it. This is sure a rough road. Still praying for a cure. |
I always keep him in my prayers. It sounds like he is going through so many terrible things all at once. I pray before long there is something his doctors can do that can really help his pain level and appetite. |
Sending prayers and thinking of you |
It breaks my heart hearing about the emotional pain you are both going through and also knowing that Ken is in such physical pain. He probably hates the way the medication makes him feel, but there's no excuse for them to allow Ken to suffer. I am still praying for a miracle for the two of you. I believe that love can carry you through the toughest times. I am so sorry that you are both going through this. I know it must be difficult for you, but please try to take care of yourself and stay strong. I think of you so much of the time, and my heart is really pulling for both you and Ken. |
I am continuing to pray for Ken's comfort, for him to be able to eat and gain strength to fight. Praying for you Patti. |
Thanks. I called the cancer center to get him some hydration tomorrow and hopefully they will see how much weight he has lost and do something. The radiation really seemed to mess him up. |
Patti, we are all praying for the cure right along with you, and also praying for pain relief for Ken, and strength and perseverance for you too. |

Thanks so much all the love and support is helping me. Ken is down to 98.8 lbs today with clothes and jacket. Nurse and I tried to talk to him about eating but he just says he's not hungry. The nurse just came in and said she told on him to the PA and she will meet with us Friday before chemo. I will stay strong with all your support and prayers. Some days are harder than others but day at a time I keep telling myself. Thanks |
Praying for Ken and you... |
I'm keeping you and Ken in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'm remembering Ken in my prayers each day. I pray he will regain some appetite I also lifted you up to God in prayer asking Him to give you strength during the days ahead. |
Patti, I am keeping Ken in my prayers. I hope they can get him so that he has an appetite again. |
Thanks. They started Ken on Chemo again Friday and his potassium level had gone down a little more so they increased his potassium powder to 2 times a day. They put him on an appetite stimulant but he keeps throwing it up. He is barely eating a thing and can't explain why. He said his back pain seems to be a bit better. I am hoping the fracture and the cancer in his spine are improving and he can get off the morphine soon. as always thanks for the support and prayers. |
Patti, I am sorry to hear the news about his vomiting and weight loss. Hoping they can find something to help Ken keep his food down and feel a little better. We will keep the two of you in our prayers. |

Patti...my heart breaks for you and Ken and for Jessie too. I hope you can get him into his regular doctor tomorrow and they can help you. Thinking of you always! Love to you and Ken. Patti...(Baby Blessing) What a beautiful prayer. I hope you and Jack are doing better! |
Patti, Keeping you and Ken in my prayers daily. |
Thinking of you tonight, Patti and Ken. Sending gentle hugs and prayers. |
Thanks. Ken had hydration Monday and Wednesday and that helped him feel a little better. He had gone 2 days without hardly eating a thing. Last night and today he has eaten a tiny bit better. He goes for chemo again tomorrow if his blood work is ok. I am getting upset with the oncologist. He pretty much has turned Ken's care over to a PA Physicians Assistant that were not to crazy about. I tried calling him the other day and the PA called back and was suppossed to discuss the not eating issue with the doctor and get back to me. That was 2 days ago and she never called back. I am starting to think that we should stop the chemo for awhile and see if Ken can get some strength back. I don't see how he can go through 5 more treatments in the condition he is in. Next week he is off chemo and on 4/30 we have an appointment with the oncologist hopefully he will be there. Your support and prayers have been so helpful. |

Patti..I know I have asked this before. Does your insurance company have an assigned nurse case worker? Maybe talk to them? I would demaind an appointment with the doctor and state your concerns. Remember they many have many people they are treating but Ken is no 1 for you!! You are in my prayers as always. |

You both are still in our prayers. Hopefully you can speak w his dr and get a gameplan underway to deal w these complicating issues poor Ken is experiencing. (Sometimes squeaky wheels get the grease! ;) ) |
Can they put Ken on that portable feeding tube to get some calories & vitamins into him? And I have heard it said that medical marijuana can help boost the appetite and relief pain & nausea. That's one of the main reasons those for it give for wanting it legalized. Ken is always in my prayers - that his breakthrough is only a short time off and one day he wakes up feeling stronger and his tumors shrinking. I, of course, pray for you, too, Miss Patti. God bless you both. |
Ken and you are in my prayers. |
