Thanks! Ken had his 3rd of 9 treatments today and has to have a blood transfusion tomorrow due to low hemoglobin count. He is getting so discouraged. The music therapist never showed up. I felt so bad for Ken he brought his 12 string guitar and was looking forward to learning some Irish songs from her. Also one of the lymph nodes in his neck has doubled in size the past week. We saw the oncologist on the way out and stopped to ask him about it. He said that he wasn't that concerned as he knew there was involvement above the collar bone and he wanted to wait a few more weeks to see if the new chemo is working. We are still worried though that it is growing while on the new chemo. I am still telling Ken to think positive and pray for the cure. Patti-- It would be great for Ken and Jack to play a game of chess one day!! |
I am so sad for Ken that the music therapist didn't show up today. I love acoustic guitar and would enjoy hearing Ken play. My favorite is Spanish guitar music, but I like it all. :) I am also sorry to hear about the lymph node growing. I am praying for Ken's strength and spirit to keep fighting. You are in my thoughts and prayers too, Patti. |
Thanks! |
I agree, how disappointing for Ken that the music therapist failed to show. I hope that you have a better night and that the treatments get more tolerable. Hugs and prayers to you both. |
Thanks. Ken has been having severe back pain on his spine. He had an MRI of his back this morning at 6 am. We should know the results in a day or two. We are so afraid that the cancer has spread to his bones. All prayers are so appreciated! |
You and Ken are in my prayers each day. I pray for good MRI test results this week. |
Patti, I'm sorry to hear Ken is in so much pain. You can count on the prayers continuing! |
Praying here too for good MRI results...hope Ken is feeling better... |
Patti, Prayers for Ken and that the MRI has good results. |
Prayers to you Patti and Ken |
Ken's MRI showed a compression fracture in his spine and tiny spots of metastatic disease. They are stopping chemo for 3 weeks to do 2 1/2 weeks of radiation on his spine. The chemo he is on is not compatible with radiation. I am so concerned that in spite of all his chemo treatments the cancer is still spreading. Thanks for the continued support and prayers. |
Sending up prayers for you both.... |
I think of you both often, Patti and you remain in my prayers. |
Praying for you both! May God Bless and HEAL! |

Thanks. It is so hard watching Ken suffer so much. I pray he can get some relief soon. He still has a long road ahead with chemo and radiation. |
Hoping, believing and praying for the day he is through with his chemo/radiation and his body can start the comeback. He will start to feel lots better then usually. |
