Patti, I'm just seeing this about Ken's illness. I'm overjoyed for you at his successes and recoveries! Prayers are indeed powerful, and I'll be joining all the others in prayers for you and Ken. Hugs and prayers my friend, Bonny |
Praying extra hard!!! Sending good vibes and hugs! |
Patti, thanks for the update. We celebrate every little victory with you and Ken as you continue on toward the cure. Go for it! We all are praying for you. |
I am glad to hear the fluid is almost gone and that Ken had a nice Thanksgiving. I am praying that his Christmas is even better. Blessings to you both. |
Thanks all. Ken had his chemo today even though is red cells were low. He has to go back in Tuesday for a CBC and they have put an order in for a blood transfusion. They are pretty sure he will need it. The last time he had a transfusion he felt so much better for awhile. He starts his 4th cycle on the 15th and we meet with the oncologist. He originally said 4 cycles so we are praying that the cancer has remained stable and he can take a break for awhile. What a wonderful Christmas that would make! Thanks for the prayers and thoughts. |
Hi Patti, Just checking in to let you know you are still in our prayers and daily thoughts! |
Patti, Glad to hear the good news. Will continue to keep Ken and you in my prayers daily! |

Prayers for you and Ken that God will Bless you with a miracle. |
Thanks! Ken went in Tuesday for his blood test and his levels weren't low enough to transfuse but they gave him fluids. He has to go back tomorrow (his 60th birthday) to recheck his levels and see if he needs the transfusion. He told me today that he has been feeling the worst ever since starting treatment. I am hoping he can finish the next 2 treatments and take a break. He lost another 2 lbs in less than a week and is down to 115 lbs. I am just praying he can keep fighting this terrible disease. Prayers are so appreciated. |
I will say a prayer for him. I'm sorry he is not feeling well. :( |
Ken is always in my prayers, Patti, and so are you. Thank you for the update. |
Oh Patti, I am so sorry Ken is feeling bad at the moment - I will pray that things improve for him and that he is able to take the break at Christmas, which you both need. My heart just goes out to you, as it is so hard to watch your loved one go through chemo. I remember my hubby telling me how he would just go away by himself and cry with the stress of it all. He told me that he would far rather have been the one going through it, than the one who has to watch the person they love go throught it. It is very tough on you and I hope and pray that you have family and friends close by who can support you and give you a little break sometimes. I know I speak for YT when I say we are all here for you, anytime, and are praying daily for your dear husband. |

1 Attachment(s) Thanks. Ken had his blood work today and his platelets went from 54 to 23 but they can't give him platelets until his levels are at 15. So we have to go back tomorrow to retest. The oncologist is afraid that his levels will go too low over the weekend when they can't be tested. I don't understand why they couldn't just give him the platelets today. Ken turned 60 today and since he was feeling ok I had the kids come over and my sister and her husband and we had a little party. Ken is a very shy person and not much for parties but he was touched. He said I haven't had a party since I was a kid. I know all your prayers are helping us both go through this. |
Ken looks amazing! I'm glad he enjoyed his birthday party. LOL, angry birds. Praying the good news keeps coming. :) |
