Patti, still sending prayers for you and Ken and your family. I am happy that treatment is going to be starting. Hoping that Ken begins to get some relief.

Thanks for all the support and the pm's that have really helped. Ken had his "Tattoo's" for radiation today. They marked the right side of his chest and near his armpit on both the right and left side. I guess they are targeting the lymph nodes on both sides as well. He goes tomorrow for his run through and first treatment. They also put him on prednisone to help his breathing for now. They said the radiation should start making a difference after a few treatments. I am glad we finally are fighting this!

Patti, if will get easier. But ..having been there ..in fact still there ..you need help!
I did not find help for a while and it makes me mad that it is hard to find. Please ask your family to help, find support groups. What saved Alan is a friend of mine who is a nurse, she taught me how to get assertive. This is not the time to be sweet patti, you are the one who is fighting for your dh..

Patti so glad to hear that his radiation is starting. Do expect him to be tired from radiation. The Pred should be some real help to him.

Prayers still continue for you both.
Just know I'm hear if you need someone to talk with.

Thanks. It's so hard to explain to non YT members what a caring and wonderful community it is. I know 100% that I am getting through this with all of your support and prayers. When I am feeling down I come on here and my spirits are lifted.

I'm so glad that treatment will begin soon! What a relief! Now praying hard that it helps, and that Ken can get cured. Praying too that he feels better soon. Hugs to both of you and the pups!:D

Yes!! Great to hear that treatment starts tomorrow. I am praying for Ken and you that the prednisone and radiation will help him breathe easier.

Yay, radiation and prednisone! The prednisone should make his lungs feel some better and make it easier to breathe. I've got to agree with Shinja, we've got to speak up and not worry about being pleasant. (Sometimes we girls are too polite.) You're doing such a great job of staying on top of this and checking into info yourself! What a great team the two of you are!

Thanks. Ken had his first treatment today and it went well. We are hoping the steroids and the radiation start to help with his breathing. I feel like we are finally fighting the cancer. I will keep you posted.
