I got a call from the oncology nurse at 9 This morning and she said something with his heart showed up on the cat scan so we are now at the hospital for an echocardiogram. They cant do chemo until this is checked out she didn,'t say anything about the CT results as far as the cancer. I am so worried if there is something wrong with the heart they can't continue chemo. I just needed to come on here to keep busy. Ken bought me an iPad so now I can have something to do while waiting. Thanks again. I hope to have some good news one of these days. |
Bless your heart Patti. I know you have to be under such stress, that I can't even imagine. I continue to lift you and Ken up in prayer. I pray that Ken's heart checks out ok so he can continue his treatments. You are such a strong person, I really admire you. ((hugs)) |
Keeping you both close in my thoughts and prayers. :hands: |
Sending prayers and positive thoughts. Bless you both. |
Praying hard, Patti. And you keep busy as much as you need. |
Just checking in to see how the echo was. |
Prayers and Hugs for you and DH, hope all the test come back normal. |
Patti, I am so sorry for this additional scare, and hope you will soon have good news. My heart goes out to you, and I am glad you are able to check in here occasionally for some moral support. We all love you and are standing beside you all the way. More hugs and prayers going to you now. |
Just want you to know you are ever in our hearts and prayers. |

We got some good news and some bad news today. The CT scan showed significant reduction in the main tumors and enlarged lymph nodes. So the radiation did it's job yea we are so thankful. Everyones prayers and positive thoughts worked. The bad news was that the echo showed moderate fluid around his heart. Between that and his platelets being low ( 70 and they need to be at least 100 to do chemo) he can't get chemo for 2 weeks. He has been referred to a cardiologist to see about draining the fluid which they also can't do until his platelets come up. He has another echo next Thursday to monitor the fluid level. So while we are thrilled about the tumors shrinking we are concerned now about the heart. Thanks again for the support. |
Patti, i am just seeing this now. i am so sorry for what you and your family are going through! you are an amazingly strong woman and we are sending all of our healing and positive thoughts to you and your husband. Alana, Dexter & Peppermint |
I am so sorry. It really seems like poor Ken and you are having to deal with so many issues. Sending prayers. |
I am sure you are so thankful for the good news but yet so worried about the fluid around his heart....I am still hoping and praying for a miracle for you all!!! God works in mysterious ways and I hope the sign of good news is just the beginning and there will be more to come soon!!! |
Still sending prayers Patti to you and Ken. That is great news about the tumors shrinking. I will pray that doctors can can reduce the fluid around the heart so that Ken can continue treatments. |
