Glad to hear he is in treatment now and on for chemo next week. We are praying and will continue to pray for the both of you. |
Patti we are all still holding you and Ken up in our thoughts and prayers |
Thanks. The radiation is making him very tired. Between the coughing, hard time breathing he is not feeling to good today. He can rest all weekend and hopefully we will get some encouraging news Monday. |
I hope you and Ken enjoy a restful weekend just enjoying each others company. I admire the loving relationship between you two and I pray for many more years of happiness together. |
I hope he'll feel better after the weekend. Sending more prayers his way.:) |
Hoping for the best for you guys! |
Hi Patti, enjoy the weekend the best you can. Treatment is darn hard, no matter how you look at it, but it's the only way to move toward cure. Ken and you are always in my prayers, and I hope you can both stay strong thru this battle. |

Ken is starting to have trouble swallowing which I know is from the radiation. I am worried that he will not be able to eat much pretty soon. He has 7 more radiation treatments so I know he is in for a rough time. I will get through this with all the support I have, but Ken is having a hard time staying positive. I keep telling him that it is going to get worse before it gets better but we need to fight this with everything he has. |

Just know you are both still in my prayers. |
Hi patti.... Remember to ask questions of the doctor, is it normal for the breathing to be difficult? Maybe they have ways to help. Have you got some help? I am praying that Ken keeps his sprits up |

Patti, You and Ken are still in my prayers daily. Hoping that he sees more comfortable days very soon. |
Sorry it's already getting rough. When it gets hard to swallow, try lots of soft moist foods, like soups, stews, anything with sauces or gravy, pudding, ice cream, shakes, veggies cooked very soft w/butter or sauce or puree them. As a backup it's good to have a nutritional shake such as Ensure, or a protein shake. Meat and dense foods are the hardest to swallow. Don't worry about high calories in all that stuff I mentioned, this is not a time to diet; he needs to stock up on calories to avoid losing too much weight later with chemo. My heart goes out to you, hang in there. |
