I'm glad he has finally been able to start treatment, and it does feel better once you are actively fighting the cancer. Wishing Ken all the best on the road to beating this, and prayers are going your way every day. |
I am very happy to hear that the first treatment went well, and I pray that your husband will be breathing easier very soon.:hug::hug: |

I have not been on for a few days so i just read to catch up on what is going on. I will continue praying that he gets some relief and is able to breathe easier soon. I agree with the above statement from my own personal experiences with family members-YOU have to be his advocate and as hard as it is because you are tired and worried yourself you have to push the doctors and the nurses to make sure they are doing what is best for him! I will pray for his comfort and cure and for your peace and courage to get through this with him!:hands::heart79: |
Patti i am so sorry and hope you and Ken are holding on to the one that can pull him through this trying time my prayers are with you both big hugs to you |
Your are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Remember to keep asking questions of the doctors and the nurses -- you can't ask too many. This will get you lots of information that you need. (I'm in the health care racket, and know that people avoid "bothering" the staff with their questions. Don't do that!) |
Patti .....saying many prayers for you and Ken. Hoping the treatments will help him breath easier. |
Thanks everyone. Ken went for his 2nd radiation treatment this afternoon. When he was back there the nurse came and got me and said the doctor would be seeing Ken after his treatment. He usually sees patients every Monday but since they are closed for the holiday he saw him today. As soon as he came in the room he said I can hear your breathing is a little better. When Ken went to change he told me to make sure he eats a lot. He also said he should be getting a boost now from the prednisone. Today is the first day Ken felt well enough to go out for a little bit. He also quit smoking cigarettes (except for the electronic ones) yeah!! We have a long road ahead of us but we are taking each day as it comes. I know everyones prayers are helping. |
Patti, It's good to hear that Ken is feeling a little better, It's great to hear any little bit of good news. You are right, take it one day at a time for that is all we can do. I will continue to keep Ken and you in my prayers. |
Great news Patti, I am happy to hear that Ken has had some relief from his treatments. Still sending prayers and hugs to you both. |
I'm so glad he is feeling a little better. Still praying for you guys! |
It's so good to hear some good news!! We will keep praying for more!! |
Patti i am thinking of you & Ken |
Glad to hear that his breathing was sounding better and better yet felt Ok to go out. Prayers still continue for you both. |
Thanks. Our son and our DIL had us over for a barbeque today for our DD and my upcoming birthdays. Ken wasn't planning on going as he had a bad night last night. But we delayed it for a couple of hours and Ken was feeling better so he ended up going. We couldn't believe he ate a huge burger and 2 ears of corn. It was good to see him have an appetite again. Hopefully, with not smoking and the prednisone he will gain a little weight. |
It sounds like a good time was had by all. I'm glad Ken was able to go and participate in the family fun. Sounds like he feels a little better and is getting an appetite. :) I'll keep you both in my prayers. |
