i am so glad things are improving; but just in case they regress, I would be ever so happy to take that homely little yorkie off your hands He truly is beautiful! You will be so glad you got him very soon.

Heehee. Well they are napping again, I have decided to confine BOTH to the wash room and not roam all over the house. Had some really terrible accidents even tho they were both taken out 30 minutes before the accdents. Both poo on the rug, both pee on the rug it was a mad house last night. I was so stressed. So I have decided confinement.

Husband bought sanitary napkins for women and I will use this on them both as they are peeing thru the toilet paper. I am also making belly bands with a support to stop the pom's penis from coming out the band. He is literally raping the yorkie. I cant stop it 24/7 but he is a little terror . I didnt expect this. But still the yorkie is fighting back so there is still that power struggle

I have always loved Poms. Actually I never ever dreamed I would have a yorkie, and look what has happened. I hope they both continue to bond and behave. Hopefully sooner rather than later the terrorizing will stop. The pom is literally terrorizing the yorkie until he is exhausted and then falls to sleep next to the yorkie LOL

All doggies have their own personalities. However, Yorkies are known for being a bit more high-strung than most. I'd think you'd know this, having spent some time on YT . Also, if he has been abused (as we suspect), he probably is somewhat at a loss as to what to do with all this freedom and attention!

Yes, EIGHT MONTHS before she was accident-free. This is not that unusual, as others have confirmed:

Eight months is totally normal. Gracie was potty pad trained at 6 months, then we moved and it was back to square one. She was a year before I felt she was completely trained. Some on here have been lucky and trained their dog quickly but it is not the norm. Yorkies are one of the hardest breeds to house break and you can't compare your yorkie to your pom.

I just read your last post and I have one quick question. I see we keep coming back to Poms and how much you love them. Why did you not buy another Pom?? You do not have to keep it a secret you have a Pom, you can still be on YT.....it's just not fair to the yorkie. JMO....that it for me folks!

How is he terrorizing the yorkie?? By what you call raping it?? It called humping not raping..that phrase REALLY rubs me the wrong way..sorry..is your pom fixed?? This would most likely stop the power struggles you are having with them...

I dont know if you answered me before when I asked their names..its wierd to keep referring to them as the pom and the yorkie...

I don't know if it was in this thread or the other one, but I did get that answer. They are Bandit and Scoobydoo. I think Bandit is the Pom. I do have to agree that the phrase "raping him" is ultra-sensative to a lot of people.

If this is all truly happening as you are describing to us, perhaps you should try to watch your wording so you don't lose some supporters along the way. Unfortunately, that can happen quite easily.

you said exactly what i have been thinking (but trying to keep my mouth shut LOL)

why refer to your "pets" as THE yorkie...THE pom??? AT LEAST say "MY yorkie...MY pom" but for crying out loud....give your poor dogs a name already!

this poor yorkie pup doesn't stand a chance in this family because he is expected to be perfect from hour 1, which is insane. and compared to a pup that clearly can do no wrong. send the pup to me, i would love to have the opportunity to make him feel loved!!

Ditto - Terrorizing and raping bothers me on so many levels. And what is laughable (LOL) about this? The Pom terrorrizes him until he tires and falls asleep? Are you protecting Scoobydoo? He should not be getting beat up and bullied to begin with and even more so that he is new in your home. This whole thread has gotten too much for me to follow any longer. Best of luck and I hope if you can't feel the same for Scoobydoo as you do your Pom that you will find a good home for him.

A five month old Yorkie DOG as I dont see him as a baby like I did when I brought my other puppy home, he is SORT of getting along with my dog, but ate everything in both bowls and left my dog with no food. then he proceeds to RAISE his leg and pee on my bedroom wall WTF . I have crated him for the night, is this cruel, he has never been crated before? I dont normally crate animals but good lord. If our drive was not 7 hours each way I wont have done this. I am exhausted here. It is 3:12 AM and we just got backa little bit ago. HELP me please. I wouldnt have taken him but we had alredy driven so far:mad: I am mad she told me he was younger when he was not. NOw I have a 5 month old dog on my hands with absolutely ZERO training, does not know sit, come or no house training whatsoever. What crises have I gotten into?
It sounds like you drove a long way to get this baby, then he's not what you expect and you don't see him the same as when you bought your other pup home, but yet you just kept him anyway because you had already driven so far..........that's not a very good way to buy any dog. Honestly, if you didn't like him and he wasn't what you wanted and the breeder had lied to you, why did you still buy him??? So what if you had driven that far! I feel bad for him, send him to me and I'll make sure he gets LOTS of love and attention like he deserves. It sounds like he's not really what you want, and that's not his fault. It seems you have brought alot of this on yourself.

You are allowing the pom to terrorize....your words...the yorkie until the pom is exhausted? I think that is cruel. I understand the dominance issue but I'd never let one literally terrorize the other.
