| ![]() I've had my yorkie 5 years, and never experienced anything like that out of her..got her at 6 weeks, by 8 weeks, she was running over to the pee pad to use it..it was consistence in working with her..The little one I just got is 12 weeks, now, I'm working with her, she doesn't roam free without me right there watching every move, you have to be able to catch them doing something wrong to correct it..if she starts to pee on the carpet, I have to pick her up and take her to her pee pad, not get on to her after the fact, as they don't know what they did wrong if you don't catch them doing the "wrong" thing..We had an obedience trainer, for our 2 outside dogs, he said if the dog is doing something wrong, it's NOT the dog, it's the onwer, and this is very true! Dogs want to please, not upset you! |

I got the first at 8 weeks...not much older than yours and it did, indeed, take at least to age 5 months before I had any signs that mine got it. I'd confine her to a crate if I couldn't supervise her...that will help considerably with accidents and tearing up things in your house.

| ![]() There is some kind of statistic that puppys taken away that early have a 90% chance of getting behavior problems.

| ![]() Ugh... obviously people aren't getting the gist here. Please please stop the fighting... I don't think posting a thread about getting him fixed earlier than 10 months contridicts anything that she has said. They are getting along just fine, just a marking/humping issue still.... If you dont have kind words to give, then keep your mouth shut. ![]()

If you regret getting her everyday, send her to me. I'd be more than happy to take care of her. Do you think she can't sense how you feel??

Resign yourselves to the fact that what she is doing is not unusual for a five month old yorkie puppy. She is going to be with you for many years, spend the next six months working hard to train her and she will be housebroken. She (and having a house that doesn't reek) is worth it. Good luck. You can do it.

| ![]() I didnt get to read all the posts and so maybe this has been said already...but I got my monkey when she was 4 months old and as far as I know she was in a puppy mill and then the pet store the whole 4 months. She clearly had no kind of training but with some patience and love she became pee pad trained in about a month. Hope hes doing better soon and you did a good thing by getting him even though hes older. Im sure youll love him just as much as if he was with you from a younger age but you also gave a puppy a home who may have had a much harder time finding one. I feel like if I hadnt gotten my baby when I did she wouldnt have made it much longer in the pet shop because she was the oldest one there and many people want dogs as young as they can get them. Sorry if this made no sense...long day. |

| ![]() This is rediculous, people. She is prob someone who is posting this for fun and trying to piss us all off. She has not posted anything since here rediculous post yesterday about neutering her dog. She is here to play games. and people stop responding to her posts. There are a lot of other people here who have legit comments/ questions and new Yorkie Owners that need help. Stop the insanity!
