| I think you've come to the point where the only option is an MRI. She seems to be getting worse from everything you've decribed and your vet is only guessing at what the problem might be. The MRI should be able to at least give you an answer so you know how to treat her. I know how expensive one is believe me but its worth it to finally get some answers. Care Credit should be able to help with the cost or try the link to imom. Prayers for you and poor Emma.

| Are you within driving distance of the University of Pennsylvania? Their veterinary hospital is one of the BEST teaching hospitals in North America. Please call their small animal hospital (The Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital) and explain your situation. They MAY treat pro bono as a teaching case. The phone number is 215.746.8387. At the very least, they may be able to get your baby into a clinical trial for pain management! PLEASE try them! |

| Ken, Quick question or suggestion. I know that emma is in a lot of pain, but where she is not up and about are you moving her from one side to the other? This should be done at least once every 2 to 3 hours. And try to move her legs a little bit so she does not loose all her muscle mass. It is very hard to get back believe me still trying to get all of Babybear's back from him breaking his neck. I am sending well wishes and prayers to Emma and your family.

| I read the updates, but is she eating and drinking??? These little ones won't survive long without food and water. Please, go into debt if you have to...Get this baby the help she deserves. Make some calls...find an experienced vet...that may allow you to make payments...do whatever you have to do. Or consider surrendering her to a rescue...she can not go on like this much longer. I pray for Emma to pull through this, I pray you find a way...

| I think taking her to the vet school is probably the best option, both due to cost and in getting the needed expertise to diagnose her. If that is not a possibility, you do what love requires. Give her to a rescue or put her down. I just could not fathom letting my Gracie lay there in pain and not move heaven and earth to help her. Hope this does not sound harsh, it was not meant to. We are sending best wishes Emma's way and would be happy to make a donation to help her. Just please, get her some help!

| ****wednesday Late Night "emma" Update**** FIRST LET ME SAY THAT I WILL BE CALLING THE The Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!! WHAT AN EXCELLENT SUGGESTION!!! LOOKED AT THEIR WEBSITE AND THEY ARE JUST 2 1/2 HOURS AWAY. MAN I HOPE THEY HAVE SOME KIND OF PAYMENT PLAN. TO ADDRESS SOME OF YOUR CONCERNS.. YES.. WE MOVE HER GENTLY SO THAT SHE DOES NOT ATROPHY OR GET SORE ON ONE SIDE... GOOD THINKING THOUGH AND MUCH APPRECIATED! WE PUT HER ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR AND SHE DID GO AND DRINK SOME WATER ON HER OWN... WIFE IS STILL USING A SYRINGE TO GIVE HER A BIT MORE THOUGH... SHE IS RELUCTANT TO EAT BUT SHE DID TAKE A LITTLE TURKEY AND A TINY PIECE OF CHEESE (PILL HIDDEN INSIDE). I CANNOT EVEN THINK ABOUT HANDING HER OVER TO A SHELTER... I WOULD SELL MY CAR TO CARMAX IF I HAD TO, TO SAVE OUR EMMA. WE CAN ALWAYS GET ANOTHER CAR, BUT WE CAN'T GET ANOTHER EMMA. THIS HAS BEEN SO HARD FOR HER... NORMALLY SHE WOULD HAVE JUMPED AT THE TURKEY AND CHEESE BUT NOT SO NOW... I SWEAR... I WOULD GO SERIOUSLY MENTAL IF WE LOST HER. SO... THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING WILL HAVE TO DO FOR NOW! WILL TRY AND GET SOME MORE WATER IN HER BEFORE BEDTIME... ANOTHER LONG NIGHT AHEAD OF US... HORRIBLE TO HEAR HER YELP IN PAIN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THROUGHOUT THE NITE. WELL... MORE TOMORROW... TIME FOR EMMAS WATER AND FOR ME...ADVIL !! G'NIGHT ALL & THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH! |
