| What is going on?! Jake is sick again!? We just cleared his Demodoex!!!! The vets keep saying its absolutely nothing!!!! But he's gonna suffocate! He has "seizure" like episodes where he has an "inside out sneeze"? it sounds like he's trying to breath in and he cant so instead he' just snorting! He does this all day long, and now he has them at night too. I don't know what it is anymore. It got really bad after his kennelcough shot, but docs say its not a cough? He'll want to play, but instead he'll have an episode where he will stand there and try to breath. His whole body just convulses when he's trying to take in air.. We are starting to think its asthma? but why now, when he had just maybe one or two "inside out sneezes" (but not entire seizure like breathing problems!)during the day before his bordattela shot? Anyone know what it could be? |

| No I really don't know, could it be collapsed trachea? How old is Jake, and does he wear a collar...how about his weight, is it okay?

| No, I don't think its his trachea, he can breath normally when he's out of his seizure mode. I have no idea what even triggers it. before it was when he got excited, now its random, and he has about 4-5 maybe even more an hour. He's 1.5, and no he doesnt wear a collar. His weight is 4.6lb, which is normal for his size. Im thinking they might have damaged something when giving him the cough shot... It looks and sounds like where his nasal passage and throat begin, closes up, or partially, and he's just trying to breath instead of holding his breath. But it doesnt seem to bother him, because he still tries to play and run. |

| The bordetella is not really a shot. It is squirted up the nose. What are you feeding him? Sometimes they can be allergic to the food, or any number of things. IMO as long as he is eating, drinking & playing , I would just keep an eye on him. Sending good thoughts your way. |

| It could just be 'reverse sneeze' or it could be collapse treacha, but I would guess that allergies are triggering the attacks. Try to do the following when he get this attacks: 1. Plug his nose and force him to breathe out his mouth 2. Glentle rub his throat to get him to stop 3. Talk softly and calmly to him, distract him 4. Lift his front paws above his head and tilt his head up 5. Cool down pressure points: belly and under arm pits 6. Give him a bath in a VERY STEAMED Bathroom - let him breathe in that mositure The best thing to do is to get him to STOP when he goes into that 'mode'. |

| I also question the anethesia and intubation process. Charlie has dental surgery last Thursday, and initially he sneezed/coughed when walking outside for the first few days. Slowly, he has improved but definitely feel the intubation caused his trachea to become very irritated. He is going to a dental specialist, I plan on talking with him about his difficulty before he does surgery. However, your pup sounds much worse and look forward to hearing the outcome of the vet's visit. Wonder if he has anything to do with your pup's teeth? The upper canines go very deep into the sinus area. Warmly, Deborah
