| I am so sorry to hear that your baby is not doing well. I hope that she feels better real soon. I know that when they get sick it can become very costly, I am praying for your baby and you.

Awww, hun, I wish I knew the right answer. $6K is ALOT and bless you for doing this. What about the breeder??? Was there any kind of a health guarantee (I'm sure you've already thought of this) I hope you don't have to give her up. If you do, pleeeeeeese consider a good rescue, it may be her ony chance. I'm soooo sorry you and little Zoie are going through this. Big hugs to you and vent away.

| Do you have a few extra hours a week to work for your vet. I use to work at a vet clinic years ago and we always could use help. We were so busy and so much to do. I bet if you ask you vet that you could volunteer some hours and he could in return compensate with some free care - x-rays. You could even learn how to take the x-rays while working there. That was one of my jobs, beside giving shots, doing blood work, assisting with surgery, reception work, and of course kennel work. I really enjoyed it. Let us know how it goes. T. |

| I'm already working 70 hours a week to help pay for her bills. It's killing me. i just noticed that Zoie has a tooth infection. This is just too much, little Zoie is too cute to be sick I have not spoken to her breeder yet. Zoie was the little puppy that I exchanged website design for her. So the agreement we made was a little different. I just want Zoie and Wookie to be happy number 1. They deserve all the love they can get. They deserve to be spoiled no matter what, wether it's from me or not. That much I know is true. I will keep you guys updated. Thank you for caring, I really appreciate your support. |

| Dena, check out these lists of organizations who help with vet bills: http://www.digitaldog.com/phpbb/view...66513b8c22b3c0 http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/p...post?id=920492 This is just an article with ideas. http://www.hsus.org/pets/pet_care/wh...nary_care.html We have no HUMAN insurance right now and dh just ended up in the hospital a few weeks ago, with not one, but two surgeries. Talk about bills piling up. I kinda understand what you are going through, and can't even consider finding a new home for hubby . My point is, even though our bills are still huge, I was able to get some assitance (very little). I understand not wanting to go into deeper debt for your furbaby. Hopefully someone in one of these lists can help. If you need help contacting all of these groups, pm me more information and if its okay, I'll start a thread asking for people to help make contact. We may figure something out!!!

| As much as you've spent at the vet, you'd THINK that they would be more lenient with the bills. Please just talk to them about all this. If she's continuing to be sick, obviously they haven't fixed the problem. If you took your car to a mechanic (bad analogy, I know !), and still had the same problem, they would NOT keep charging you over and over again. Sure, you might have to pay for parts (or medicines), but you shouldn't have to keep paying for office visits, or they should be substantially reduced for you. I'm so sorry that you are going through this, and that little Zoie is still ill I'd definitely take it up with her breeder, website exchanged be damned, she sold you a sick dog! She has her website up and running thanks to you, and you should have a healthy puppy! Just my

| I just dont understand how pneumonia could take so long to get over. Im so frustrated. I just want her to feel better. And now her tooth needs to be taken out.. I never expected to be spending this kind of money on a yorkie after only a few months. My poor baby. Its not technically the breeder's fault that Zoie has pneumonia. She got it afterwards.. so its not her fault, and I dont feel like I have any right to demand anything from her breeder. |

Those sites are really great.. but they are meant for people who truely have money problems or who are diabled.. or who have service dogs.. not for people like me who have a dog as a luxury. It doesn't feel right for me to get money from a place like that.. plus you have to provide them with all of your finances.. and i doubt i qualify, just because i have a luxury expensive dog... Know what i mean? | |

My furkids Donating Member | Have you thought about a second opinion? If she has been on meds for a while and it's not helping maybe she doesn't have pneumonia....Maybe it's something else that antibiotics aren't helping.
