Do you have a few extra hours a week to work for your vet. I use to work at a vet clinic years ago and we always could use help. We were so busy and so much to do. I bet if you ask you vet that you could volunteer some hours and he could in return compensate with some free care - x-rays. You could even learn how to take the x-rays while working there. That was one of my jobs, beside giving shots, doing blood work, assisting with surgery, reception work, and of course kennel work. I really enjoyed it. Let us know how it goes.
