BANNED! | I use this method and they love the cottage cheese. Its great mixed with the cesars moist food. First I use the nutri-stat or karo sryup to bring the blood sugar up and wait for abit before getting them to eat the cottage cheese mixture. |

THIS is a very good idea. I just used the glass one cause it doesn't stain. I will get some plastic ones tomorrow. Thank you for thinking of this cause it never occured to me. Sylvia

| Hi again This formula didn't seem to fatten Luna up, though she did thrive on it and has grown some since I got her. She was 2lbs on the dot when I got her at 9? weeks old. She is now a little over 3 lbs and is light and fragile feeling, I wish she'd get a little bigger but she's a tough nut and such a joy!! Anyway, I'm rambling It took me a good month of feeding her that stuff 4X a day, all the while slowly adding soaked kibble. Her teeth just didn't seem to be developed very well and her bit is slightly off. So that could explain why my girl didn't eat the kibble very well. I finally started soaking the kibble less and less and adding less and less of the baby formula stuff. She didn't like that a bit, but then I began adding some plain full-fat yogurt and then she'd eat It was a slow process, she loved that formula a lot! I also mixed some Caeser Puppy in it too so she would eat. It's not the best food, but I just would add a 1/8th of the tin each meal. Don't worry, you'll find what works! I now cook for the girls and they get that twice a day, really it's just enough to mix in their Missing Link, plus their kibbles. Luna started eating more and more kibbles as time went on and now she'll munch away on those here and there during the day, which was a huge relief! THEN we got Izzy and suddenly once she had some competition, it seemed like she turned into a chow hound I'm sure that you'll get Lily past this scary time just fine, and I agree with your feeling that she should be watched closely and if you're going to be gone a long time, make sure you have some nutrical with you Hang in there Mommy!!!!!!

| I forgot something, believe it or not with that novel above As long as Lily eats well, she really shouldn't have the extra Karo, as this is too much sugar over a long period of time and I've heard that it can lead to diabetes if they have too much. The sugar is good in case she looks sluggish or if she refuses to eat. Keeping her warm (no drafts especially) and stress free helps too. Get her one of those heated thingies that you can put in her bed, I can't remember what it's called but you heat it in the microwave, put it in a cover thingie, and it stays warm for 8 hours. It takes an incredible amount of calories for their tiny bodies to try to stay warm (shivering) and that they cannot afford. I hope this helped

She doesn't want it. I offered her some on a saucer and she sniffed it but refused it. I got some on my finger and forced it into her mouth and then offered her the plate again. She still wouldn't eat it so I went and got a syringe. I didn't really measure it. I just gave her about two full ones and about a half one, I think it's a 3 cc syringe. It was a fight all the way. She's so tiny, I worry about hurting her. Before I gave her this I offered her some more beef and she wouldn't eat it. It was cold out of the fridge so we warmed it up and she still turned her little nose up at it. I told her I wasn't going to have it and made her eat the formula. I don't know how much she can eat and I don't know how much her little tummy might have shrunk so I'm taking it easy with her to keep her from throwing it up. It won't do her any good on the outside. LOL I don't think she needs a heating pad, she has 4 brothers to keep her warm. LOL She's sleeping again with her brothers wrestling beside her. I think she could sleep thru just about anything. LOL Sylvia

| Midas was like that When my Clhoe had her 2nd litter there were 4 little ones and as they got to be about 5 1/2 weeks old the runt of the litter which is Midas was playing and then all of a sudden he had a seizure. What he did was started to get stiff foam at the mouth and he would pee all over himself and shake. This happen on a Sunday and he was at our vet first thing Monday. Ihad to leave him I was thing the worst case for the little man. the next day my vet called and said that Midas was Colic. Wow was I happy that it was not that serious. I thought for sure that he was in bad shape and had to be put down. My vet then gave me Nutri-Cal and I had to give him this everyday and I still do he is going to be 3 yrs old in June I have no ploblems with him. he is 3 lbs.and is doing great. I give all my dogs the Nutri-Cal Clhoe is almost 7 yrs. Venus is going to be 3 yrs. She and Midas are brother and sister. So I hope this helps you in some way. You can get this at any pet store. Please keep me up-dated on your baby. Our hearts are with you. Susie,Clhoe, Venus and Midas |

Thank you. She's just not doing very well. It's like she forgets to eat or she's not hungry. Everytime I think I can stop watching her she fades the next day. I was up most of the night and she was ok but I checked her one last time before I went to bed about 3 am and she was fading again. I think she was close to having another seizure. I got some food into her and put her in a shoe box lined with a towel and took her to bed with me. She laid still for a while and then got restless, I thot she might need to potty so I took her and put her on some paper. She peed and when I took her back to bed she wouldn't settle down. She wanted to play with the other dogs on my bed. I put her back in the xpen with her brothers. I told my husband when he got up this morning to get her some food. She won't eat much at a time. You cannot get a belly on her at all. I called my mentor this afternoon and she said try goats milk with a little 7-up. Lily didn't want to drink this either so I fed it to her with an eyedropper. She did eat some canned food that we mixed with dry food for her brothers and put into the xpen with them. I think I need an alarm clock I can set to go off every 2 hours to make sure I don't forget to see that she eats something. Sylvia

| Thank you again, my husband and the kids watch her during the day while I sleep. They don't do as good a job as I do, LOL, but it gives me a much needed rest. I think I've finally conquered the mess I was sick with. I was feeling much better this afternoon. Now if I can only get Lily over her little mess. LOL Sylvia |
