Gucci Update Good Morning family. Gucci seems to be recovering well. She is eating, drinking and pottying well. No signs of bleeding, yay. The vet called me last nite to check on Gucci, and he is very happy that she is doing so well. He said just to keep her calm or as calm as I can, keep checking for any signs of distress or bleeding and make sure she takes her Vit K. Im just hoping that her PT test comes back normal. We don't have any heat or hot water for 2 to 3 days now, :mad: . Hopefully they are fixing the problem today cause my apartment is so cold, feels like a freezer. So Im thinking that Gucci might be sleeping more cause of it also. As I type she is under my quilt sleeping. Once again Thank you for the prayers and all the love. Marisa I am sooo sorry to hear about the heat and water problems.. You will have to put Gucci in her pink coat to keep her warm... The upside to all of this is she is doing better. That is the greatest news I have had all day. I will keep you and Gucci in my prayers for a total recovery soon. |

I'm so sorry about Gucci's horrible experience! I have been off for a few days and this happens! I'm praying for you both right now - and there should be a LAW about vets having to do something for animals. Like take postdated checks or some kind of payment schedule or something. That is horrible! I don't know what I would do under those circumstances either. Being on limited income is hell. Sabrina and Elvira send their yippy love and want you to be careful Gucci for a few months so you don't get internal bruises or something. Be good to and for your mommy. Elvira just learned to jump off the couch ( she thinks! scares me!) and she said to tell you don't do it - ask mommy to help. I'll be checking back - good luck. |
Gucci Update Gucci seems to be recuperating well. She is still sleeping a little more than usual but I guess that's fine. Yeah Gucci! I am so happy to hear that Gucci is improving! Glad you're not finding any signs of bleeding or bruising. Hopefully, she didn't get too much of the poison, and her clotting tests will come back good on her next visit! Just make sure, when they do take her off the Vit K, that you keep checking her. My vets had me take Toby off for two days before the test and as soon as the results came back in, I had to put him back on it. Last test came back just fine, and he was as onery as ever. Just keep giving her lots of loving, and keep us all updated! Toby sends more kisses for Gucci! :kiss2wm: :kiss2wm: |

He sounds like an a-hole to me!! Are you allowed to have space heaters or anything? They can be scary, too. You hear about them starting so many fires. Thankfully it hasn't been SO terribly cold in the day, but at night it really drops! I think they said it would be in the 50s for most of the weekend. Hope you'll be okay. |
