Wow. It rarely ever happens, but I have been moved to tears with this thread. I'm still very new to this community, and have only had a few occassions to post and ask questions, and have always received an amazing wealth of information from the generous members here. This really takes the cake. Even though I am new, I am already feeling such a strong sense of community here, and feel very honored to be a part of it, in any degree. My prayers are with you and Gucci, Marie, and also to all the wonderfully generous YT members who have really lifted my heart and spirits with the overwhelming compassion and care for "one of our own". Update on Gucci So sorry I didnt posted all day. I was out all morning and when I got home I needed to lay down cause I have a headache. I really think Gucci is feeling better. She ate with no vomiting and her poops are firm and no sings of blood, yay. She is playing , barking and 90% her normal self. She still sleeping a little more than usual thou. The little pinkish spot I notice last nite was gone this morning. The vet told me just to keep watching her and that he is almost sure she will be ok. I need to thank you all once again. I know that thanks to your prayers and caring my girl will be ok. I want to thank everyone that pm me with your well wishes for Gucci. |

I told my husband that he has to look everywhere in the apt to make sure there is no more poison. Im not letting her run the apt anymore. I put the baby gate back up and she is only allowed in my bedroom, hall and bathroom where I know there is no poison. This has being a horrible experience and I hope noone has to go thru it. We were lucky to have so many great people that care and love us, and to have found a vet that cares about the pet before the money. I will try to get back on track on my post, i havent read other posts since this happened. Gucci sends you all lots and lots of puppy kisses and hugs. |
Marie - thanks for keeping all of us posted on Gucci's progress so everyone can sleep better... When does she go back to the vets to check her PT levels? I am sure all of you are sleeping better now and hugs and kiss's coming your way. |

So happy for the update. I know this was awful for you and Gucci. I went through this a few years ago with a commercial rat poison that was in a new electric fixture box. I had no idea they pack with a plastic bag of poison so the rats won't eat the wires in their warehouse. My Yorkie also thought it tasty and went through a similar experience as Gucci. She had a complete recovery. I wish the same for Gucci. Jessica |
Marie, I cna only imagine how hard it must be to take the time to post to us and keep us up to date, but we do reallly appreciate it..Gucci has become a part of our lives and we need updates just as if she were our own in trouble..If I can be of any help at all, feel free to PM me, but I know you already have lots of people behind the scenes.. This has been such a learning experience for us all. I know we can always find something positive even in the worst of situations. I continue to pray for you and yours, Gucci and the medical people who are in charge of her care..God knows how to guide their hands in just the right way and directs them to the parts of her body that needs care. He is the master VET!!! |

I understand you still being worried, as we all are, but things are sure looking good and giving one great hope! I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I am that she's doing so much better! Helloooooooooo Marie - My husband asked me to post and get an update :) lol ...He's asked about Gucci every day since Saturday night. How is she doing girl ? Still no blood in her urine ? No Bruising ? Eating and Drinking ok ? I'm like Connie....I'm sooooooooooo relieved everything is looking so good and we need updates every day please !! LOL - then I'll stop buggin you ! |

I mean We usually just say hello in the mornings and she pets Gucci when she is with us, so it was very sweet of her. I feel so lucky that so much people love my girl. Gucci sends lots of puppy kisses and hugs. |
