Gucci Update
 

Good Afternoon everyone. So sorry I didn't post earlier. I have being on the phone all morning. Gucci still a little wobbly but seems a bit better. She ate and drank water and haven't vomit yet. So I think that is a positive sign. Today she took her med like a trooper, yesterday I had to force it in. The vet call me this morning and he said to keep her calm and she will get stronger now that she is eating. He said to keep checking her urine and poop. She had a bit of diarrhea this morning full of charcoal. I told the vet and he said to call him back if she vomits and keeps having the diarrhea. He said they gave her so much charcoal yesterday that will take a day or 2 for her body to get rid of it all, so to expect her poops to be dark.Her gums are a little pink, so the vet said to just make sure she eats and take her med and to call him if the gums get more pale.

I also spoke with Toby's mama and she told me what to look for and expect. Her Toby got into some poison last year. SO talking to her have given me more hope that my baby is going to be ok. Thank you so much Kelly.

Last nite I hardly slept. She kept going to her water bowl but the vet had told me not to give her any cause she was vomiting. I felt so bad for my girl, she only could had pieces of ice. Also she looked so drunk, so I was so scare that she could get hurt. Today she seems less drunk, so im hoping that she is getting better. When she is sleeping I keep waking her up to make sure she is fine. I guess Im a bit paranoid.

I want to thank everyone once again. Your prayers are working and I appreciated so much. Villette I owed you big time. You all are my heroes and you all have a huge special place in my heart.

Marie...I'm so glad to hear that Gucci is improving! I guess any of us would be paranoid in your situation and I understand why you'd keep checking her! It is such wonderful news and things look so much better than yesterday! I am thanking the good Lord for looking down on Gucci! Try to get some rest today...you poor thing...must be so all in! Best wishes...I'm looking forward to more great updates!!!

Marie, I am so sorry to hear about Gucci and I can't begin to imagine how upset and worried you are/were but I am so relieved as I kept reading to discover that she's doing better!

Marie, you are both in my prayers. I'm so glad that things look better. My son took Diabetes pills when he was almost 3 and spent 3 days in Intensive Care. They put the liquid charcoal through a tube in his nose. He's a big, honking 15 year old now! I'm sure Gucci will be fine!

Im so glad she seems to be improving. I have been keeping her in my prayers.

I haven't been on YT much lately, and I just saw this thread...I am soooo very sorry to hear about Gucci...I will keep her in my prayers that she has a full and speedy recovery and you'll be in my prayers too...I know you must be incredibly stressed and worried...

Gucci Update
 

I just wanted to update everyone. Gucci seems to be feeling better. She ate today and didnt vomit, so i think that is a great sign. She has being sleeping a lot thou. I havent seen any blood on her poop or urine that is another plus.
Her gums have pink up more. She does have a little red on her belly on the area where she had the hernia repair last month. Kelli(Toby's mama) told me to watch out for bruising. SO now I don't know if I'm just seeing things or is really a bruise. I'm calling my vet in the morning just to be safe.Tonite For a bit she was playing and even hump one of her toys, so I think she is feeling better. She didn't play long thou and then when to sleep.
Kelli, if you read this. I wanted to know how Toby's bruise looked like. Gucci's looks like a pinkish color, I saw a tiny spot on her leg and a bigger area around the incision for her hernia surgery.Does this make sense?
Tomorrow morning I won't be on cause I have 2 doctor's appt and P/T conference for my son. I dont know what to do cause I dont want to live Gucci alone while Im at the doc. Probably I will sneak her in.

I want to thank everyone once again for the prayers and donations. Im so grateful.

Marie that is such good news. what a scare. I hope she continues to improve. Humping the toy. LOL Well she must feel like a real tiger. I'm glad she was able to dominate the stuffed toy. ;-)

Hi Marie... thanks for the update -- It sounds like she is definitely feeling better -- playing and humping is definitely a good sign! :D The bruise that I found on Toby was up under his rib cage -- and was a pretty dark red, about the size of a quarter. I found it about three days after we went to the ER vet the first time. A couple of days after that, his tummy from the rib cage down to his little woo hoo turned a very light purple. I would definitely call the vet and double check with them. They may want to check her clotting times and increase the Vit K dosage. I wouldn't feel too bad about being over-cautious -- just keep calling and bugging them if you have any question at all! They seem like they're pretty good vets -- and definitely care more for your Gucci, then for the money! Please keep us all updated! Give her lots and lots of loves from all of us at YT! Toby sends special kisses to make her feel better!
