| Max is such a handsome guy! I know it is wrong, but that big splint just makes me laugh, especially since I know that it isn't slowing him down at all!

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Aww poor max. . Bone broth is wonderful for him. You can give it in his food or a treat. Also if the crate is too confining you can put him in a small expen. He will be back running with his partner in crime in no time

| We have him confined to the kitchen right now while we are at work. There is not enough room for him to run and there is nothing to jump on or off. We bought a Nest Cam so we are looking at the kitchen all day either on my PC or on our smartphones. Most boring channel I have ever watched!

| He is too cute. The splint makes him look like a pirate with a peg leg.

It does look like a peg leg! All I need is an eye patch and a bandana!

| You know i was thinking about your pup all day yesterday that i had a dream that Toto broke his bone too! But i think it was the femur. So glad it was just a dream! He's getting up there in age and still plays and jumps around like a puppy.

| Sorry to hear about Max. Poor baby! My Buddy had a similar situation, he had luxating patella surgery and he had to be crated for weeks. Absolutely hated it!! We would take him out of the crate and hold him when we went outside just so he could get fresh air and some sunlight. I know it's hard seeing him locked up for it's for his own good and will help speed the recovery. Keeping your little baby in my prayers =) |

Hopefully it is a dream that never comes true! So glad to hear he still has the playfulness of a puppy. I never get tired of watching my 2 play and I hope I get to watch that for along time.

The emergency vet said we needed to dole out some tough love and she was right. We don't like keeping him calm because he has such a lively spirit in him but we realize that 12 weeks is not that long in the grand scheme of things. But I don't think he realizes that

| Happy to hear Max is on the mend. It's so hard on us to see them so sad when confined, but, tough love is indeed needed. Little sister must be so confused and lonely. Keeping Max in my prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

Anymore funny stories of your two conspiring against the wishes of your vet?

| UPDATE: He went for another check up yesterday and we were hoping to get the splint off but that is not going to happen. The vet showed us that one bone is healing nicely but the other is lagging behind. She is not worried about it since it has only been 5 weeks and the original time frame was up to 12. We were just being wishful that he would heal quicker. So there will be at least 4 more weeks of him hopping along.
