UPDATE:
He went for another check up yesterday and we were hoping to get the splint off but that is not going to happen. The vet showed us that one bone is healing nicely but the other is lagging behind. She is not worried about it since it has only been 5 weeks and the original time frame was up to 12. We were just being wishful that he would heal quicker. So there will be at least 4 more weeks of him hopping along.
