| ![]() I will. We're taking him later tonight it's the best I can do. And yes, I know it's important to have funds saved up but like I said, I rescued him five days ago. Not much time to save you know? 2 days ago I spent 140+$ on a work up for him and medicine. I'm trying my best here guys, I swear. I'll keep you posted. Some Vets will work with you, instead of going with the highest treatment they will start with the cheapest route to see if it helps.. If not they will go with plan B then If needed plan A . Hopefully that makes sense!! The imporant thing is to get him looked out, and I know you know that- hopefully if needed your're able to get the funds for him. I will be sending good thoughts and prayers it's an easy fix. Hang in there.

| ![]() Don't take what anyone says to heart. Some people jump on members instead of giving them support. You're young and you may not always know what to do- you shouldn't feel you're getting treated as you don't care for your baby.

| ![]() I do hope it is just an ear problem or a med reaction. So many things come to mind though. Until a vet examines this pup you need to keep it absolutely still (crate).

She says she "rescued" this pup? This is not rescue. NO ONE said she does not care. It is a simple fact that the pup needs to see a vet and sometimes one must be very blunt to get a point across. I don't care about age ... we have young members who would not just let a pup be like this. OP get your pup to a vet or let someone else really rescue him.

| ![]() Just got back from the vet. He had a bad reaction to some antibiotics we had gotten for the ear infection. He's going to be just fine in a day or two. Thank you to everyone who was supportive here. I think this might be the last time I ask a question on here though, too much negativity. I've done my best under the information I knew and the resources I had, I'm not going to feel bad for that. |

It all comes down to how you take it. You brought things down a little harder by trying to justify doing nothing AFTER people advised you it was an emergency (you said you could only take him to a vet if it were an emergency). So, no shame on anyone here for being frustrated and trying very hard to make you see what you needed to do. Sounds like your pup's ear infection was very bad if he needed prednisone plus antibiotics. Things get out of control quickly with these pups. I strongly urge you to get insurance for this pup! These little ones can get the darndest things...and vetting is very pricey. One bout of pancreatitis can end up in the thousands if severe; and yorkies are prone to it along with a host of other things. | ![]() Glad you went to the vet. Start a savings for your pup and look at insurance. I take money out of EVERY one of my checks and put it in a pup fund at the bank. I make it where it isn't easy for me to spend the money. That way I have an emergency fund. I think if I was you I would contact the vet that gave him the meds originally. That way he knows what is going on as well. With Yorkies, you will get to know your vet well. I laugh and tell mine I deserve a front row parking spot reserved for me. We are there often. Lol. Hope your baby is going to be ok.

| ![]() Thank you for the concern ^__^ He will be fine after a little R&R. I will definitely start doing that with my checks, I've only had him for 6 days so the entirety of my last check went towards this vet visit + gas. I wasn't expecting a furbaby quite so quickly so arrangements had to be made quickly this time. |
