On May 17th you received a response that including going to Debbie Jensens' website. The Signs n Symptoms of Eclampsia are easily googled. Unless you do a necropsy on the mother you might never know for sure. I am very concerned for the well being of the pups that have so far survived. If you don't have the funds to care for one dog, how will you manage to care for 2 young puppies? YorkieMom1 has offered help, I am sure she would speak with you and help you with advice on feedings et al. Also LadyJane runs a Yorkie rescue and is very very experienced on how to place young puppies with an experienced person to give them both the personal care they need, and the funds to cover vet expenses. I can only wish these puppies all the best, and to urge you to avail yourself of the help offered.

| This is so sad. In almost every city they have low cost spay/neuter options. The ASPCA website lists them by what is closest to you. Many vets also offer care credit which will let you make payments on vet services over time. I'm sorry but there is really no excuse, if you tried hard enough you could have prevented this. Please alter your pets. Please own responsibly.

| I am praying for these babies I only wish the vet had advised you to do an emergency spay before poor little Katie had to give her life for them. If you could not afford to give Katie proper vet care then consider how much it is going to cost you for these little ones, shots etc. If you are planning on placing them they will need a vet certificate at the very least to assure the new owners that they are healthy. I know you don't want to give them up but for their sake please reconsider.

| It is obvious that he is going to keep these puppies. I just hope they will be ok...not just now, but also in the future.

| Then for the pups sake I pray someone found a job or won the Lotto so the other can stay home and feed every 2 hours round the clock and the pups can be checked by a vet sooner than later. I pray they have a plan that includes jumping up in the middle of the night to take the pups to the ER. Without the mom chances of survival are slim. Maybe not impossible but slim. Even if these pups are eating I pray the OP has the experience to help them to potty and recognize if they are gaining weight, healthy and strong. If there is no plan B then the OP is putting the pups at great risk and they may be looking at trying to find help later on for dying pups and we all know how the story will end.
