| quote from your message board: "Thanks but I doubt I post any pictures. My Katie Mae is getting weaker by the day from not sleeping. Her being pregnant isn't a good thing I think because of her being 9 years old. I wish It hadn't happened but I don't know what else to do. I lost my job so I have no way to take her to the doctor to take care of her. I had an appointment for her two years ago to be spayed but I lost my job and just making sure she has her shots and heart worm pill every month is all I can do. I have been trying to find a Vet who would take care of her and me pay him payments but its not going to happen or at least I have not found one. I feel I will lose her soon because of her breathing and being weak. I only hope she will have these puppies and live because she is eating well but today she hasn't had any energy or don't even want water. I am giving her water with an eye dropper. I know I wont have any more after this and I am trying to find a home for my other dog I got from the rescue center. They both deserve better than I can give them right now. I posted an ad to give away my Yorkie but being pregnant and her age no one has emailed. I do thank you for the reply. Mike" What is it: 2 years ago: the vet wouldn't do it (ridiculous) OR you couldn't afford it because you had no job (she was 7-had you never a job?), but then you did get a new dog around that time (at least one, sounds like you have a lot of dogs). Your stories don't add up. I just feel so sorry for poor Katie who you tried to give away while she was pregnant because she was "getting weaker by the day". And you have different excuses for why she wasn't spayed (while living with many other dogs). Please do not keep those babies "to continue her memory"! Find responsible pet owners who do not have more pets than they can take care of!!!!! Geesh!!!!

| Yes I changed vets. I begged for help with a few vets to help her before during and after this but when your out of work they don't care. I don't want he death to be in vain I'm thinking eclampsia was the cause of death. I know I blame my self for not knowing. My baby knocked down a chair to get to me and I didn't save her. |

| I am actively breeding my ladies and can not risk bringing outside dogs onto my property......I have tooooo much to loose. I can tell you this....it is going to cost you a large sum of money and around the clock dedication to feeding, probably tube feeding, these babies in order to get these babies thriving and vaccinated. Ladyjane can get these babies the help they need....you really need to turn them over to her so people that are knowledgable in saving orphaned pups can get them the help they need. Please PM her..... |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I am very sorry about your gal Katie . . For the sake of these precious babies I pray that you are strong enough to do what needs to be done in order to assure these babies get the proper nutrition and around the clock care that they need in order to thrive and survive the passing of their momma. It will not be an easy task and I wish you much luck !

| Eclampsia When I first was sure my Katie was pregnant I went to any blog , group , chat I could find. I asked two vets what can I do to make sure my Katie was safe. When I asked about her panting all the time I was told to give her calcium and I did. When I was sure she died from eclampsia I helped cause her death by giving her calcium pills. I didn't have one person tell me what eclampsia was or how dangerous it could be. I didn't have one person tell me what to look for so I could take her to a doctor. I can't imagine with all the people I spoke to including two so called doctors didn't know to tell me this when I did ask many times what could go wrong. I never wanted her to get pregnant but crap happens so I went looking for help because my Katie was very special. I didn't find help but I did find nasty comments by people I guess never made a mistake or have been broke. I guess poor people can't have pets. |

I hope your puppies don't suffer the same fate that Katie did while you sit there wallowing in your own self and misery. It is about responsibilities in life. You don't have to be wealthy to own pets but you do have to think beforehand what you will do if there is an emergency. You don't have just one pet...you have many, and now you have two tiny little beings that will cost money and a lot of time in order to save their lives. You say you made a mistake...I fear you are going to make two more mistakes and the only sufferers will be Katie's puppies. We all should learn from our mistakes, not repeat them. Just for NOW, stop talking about Katie .. there will be time for that after you do something to save the lives of her puppies. I hate to say it, but she is not here now ... if you want to do something in her honor, do the right thing for her puppies.

| Ok, I am going to be rather blunt here on the posting of what you keep bringing up. Suck it up Buttercup. Stop dwelling on this. At this point you must move on. Sadly, what has happened is done. You need to deal with the situation at hand. You have things you must do NOW and stop bringing up the other things. People here are trying to help you! And do what's best for these pups! First, you have to get these pups the care they need. You need to be communicating with a vet and have these puppies checked. OR turn them over to someone who can provide them with the care they need. Think about how Katie would want her pups cared for. Do you have the time and funds to give them what they need? You are looking at a lot of work ahead of you. I had a litter of Beagle pups that had to be bottle fed every 2 hours. After all I did and the expense we put out, we still ended up losing one of them. The other survived. I was at home 24/7 with them as they required constant care. You will easily be in the thousands of dollars with vet care. Second, you need to take care of any other pets in the home by having them spayed or neutered. No excuses. This "mistake" will show how important this is. Just do it. I know there have been low cost clinics mentioned that you can go to. Point being, you need to think about this situation and decode what is in the best interest of saving these puppies! Forget everything else and focus on one thing, those two babies!

| To the OP: There are a couple of things going on here. You have people conversing with you in Private Messages about how to save your puppies and you have others trying to get you to surrender them. What is clear to me is that you have no intention of turning them over. That's your choice. I am not going to advise you either way. I am simply toing to let you know a couple of things: You don't like that people are upset with you about Katie ... this is because you want to blame everyone else. She clearly needed a vet and you did not provide that for her. I know that deep down you have to know this. Begging vets and people on message boards will not give you vet care for a pup....only money will. I realize you don't like hearing that but sadly it is a fact that if you don't have money, you cannot get proper vetting. You now know that and you need to think about it long and hard. While you may be able to raise these puppies on your own, I fear that one setback will be too late. These puppies are tiny and don't have a lot of reserve. By the time you realize one is going down, it may already be too late. Please, please think about this. If one does end up going downhill quickly and you don't have the money to get him/her to a vet, you will lose the puppy. Is this fair?
