| I am so very sorry for your loss and wish that our caring could ease your pain. May Popi rest in peace and your family eventually think only of all the happy moments of her life.

| We send our prayers to you at this very difficult time. You and Popi will both have finally have peace now from the brave fight she put forth this whole week. We do have our four kitties buried here at home by the two walnut trees on the outer edge of the yard. (The only one left at the vet's was our white kitty who was put to sleep due to advanced cancer, and I wish I had her brought her back home.) My miniature Schnauzer, 'Bart', is resting under a black walnut tree overlooking the farmhouse. I don't know where your home is, but Popi was so very tiny that perhaps she could be buried in your garden or by a favorite tree. (My husband dug our pets' resting spots down almost 3 feet.) My friend who lives in the city had her first doggie buried out on her friend's farm and her second dog, Sophie, her welsh corgi, was cremated and her ashes are in a little metal box with her name and dates on it. It all depends on your own feelings & needs for a final closure, and where you live. God bless you & little Popi--Sue & Taffy |

| As I have been sick the past two days, I just read this thread. So sorry for your loss! As I read that she passed, I hugged my Bailey. True that these furrbaby's are like children and need help when they are not themselves. Here's hoping that in time you will be able to forgive yourself and that you have loved ones surrounding you right now and giving you strength!! RIP |

| I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Poppi. I am sure she knows you did your best to help her. To answer your question about what to do with Poppi....I don't know where you live, but we always took our pets home to bury them. Around here, you also have the option of cremating your pet and there are cemeteries that are dedicated to pets. I am sure your vet could probably tell you where to find something near you. If none of the above are options for you, you can always ask for the vet if they can take care of her....or hold onto her for a bit until you decide what you'd like to do. |
