It was not a personality Issue hun the vet told me to go home and give her the meds and fever and giardia should go down he gave me two meds. WHen I saw fever was not going down I looked up clavamox and called the vet back. In the office he said clavamox IS for fever and WILL bring it down on the phone he said he prescribed it because it MAY help with the fever "/ (this was yesterday) I tried to leave work today to go to the new vet and got yelled at by boss going tomorrow since boss will not be in. Thank you for your concern though | |

| ![]() If the dog isn't getting the care it needs when the little thing is sick with ongoing fever now and needs it now and not tomorrow, that's choosing not to get it care - whatever the reason - since it could get care ASAP if it were surrendered and a rescue help it out. So in effect by not doing whatever it takes to get the dog help today, it's your choice. And then, what happens if tomorrow's vet visit requires a panel of blood tests and more shots, even an x-ray and then two or three more meds with more blood tests needed in a few days to monitor if the medication is affecting the liver or something. And if there is no money, what will happen.

If you already tested for giardia & it was confirmed, no need to test again (unless the new vet wants to, just trying to give you suggestions so you can use the money wisely to help Bunny & you can use it to have her blood tested. It will tell how all her organs are working properly or not). Just have the 1st vet office fax over the info to the new vet. Giardia is very hard to get rid of & can recur. Simply putting the shoes away will not kill it, it must be cleaned w/bleach solution & everywhere you stepped on & that she has stepped on, must be cleaned. CDC - Giardia - Giardia and Pets
