I read up on giardiasis & fever is not one of the symptoms, although every dog is different. Leptosirosis does cause fever. Was the giardia confirmed w/a stool sample?
ISNT giardia a bacteria? Bacteria causes fevers on dogs my vet said. Also he did not know how much money I had we never spoke about I just asked what can be done he said give her the first medication for giardia and i will prescribe you a second ( clavamox) for fever. And yes I refused because he was cold sarcastic and rude the giardia was confirmed through a stool sample I will do another tomorrow to see if it has went away as today is her last day on the giardia meds.

read this or at leasst skim:
Bacterial Infection (Leptospirosis) in Dogs | petMD

." Soon after initial infection, fever and bacterial infection of the blood develop"

I could not find the original one I was reading but I found that
