| ![]() So hoping that's all it was as the timing of it all is very suspicious. He'd been doing so well. Hoping and praying that's all it was this time.

| ![]() Thank you so much. He's had his medicine for today and keeping it down plus a couple of kibble treats for taking it. He's kept his breakfast down and had no diarrhea/stool today so hoping that he can tolerate his dinner just the same.

| ![]() Praying Tibbe is continuing to improve tonight and resting comfortably. We are still on watch here, waiting for firm production. Both of the boys are enjoying the homecooked food. Although they don't have any general health issues, I'm considering homecooking full time. ![]()

| ![]() He's going great. Slept well, had a small-portion breakfast(still keeping his portions a little over 1/3 smaller) and has PLAYED with his toys this morning! Can't believe how far he's come in 2 little days! I'm so happy to see him doing this well. He's going to scare me right to death one day with these GI bouts but this last one at least we made it through without only the one day at the vet and not totally going OT and sitting up there trip after trip with him and staying a little "cooler" - except on YT. Each time he gets sick I think "this is it" and his liver will fail or something really bad. But this time you all helped me through it without getting so scared. Maybe next time I'll do even better until I'm a little more of a pro at it. From now on, when I'm cooking, he's going to be kept out of the kitchen. I used to do that but somewhere along the way, I allowed him back in so he could "watch". And then I dropped that big spoon in the mixture and out the corn and milk splashed and he was right there to vacuum it up and then he got sick very soon afterward. Anyway, my newly-minted-six-year-old Birthday Boy had a pretty darn good day yesterday on his birthday and today seems to be even better so we're going to plan on having a calm, quiet and GREAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND! Hoping you all and your babies do too and may all of them stay healthy, happy and safe.

| ![]() Just seeing this...so glad Tibbe is feeling better! I have a little story for you, Momo ate a tiny piece of turkey bacon that I dropped (bc I like it really crispy, it was breaking off) & he got to it b4 I could pick it up. Well later that day, he ended up having 2 rounds of explosive diarrhea! He was fine after that. I was so surprised a tiny piece of turkey bacon could do that, don't want to imagine what would've happened if it was real bacon. Now I always take a bite over my plate so I don't drop anything.

![]() I know my Jilly couldn't even have a bit of Saltine cracker or white bread or any other dog or human food - even the tiniest bit of anything other than her Science Diet Sensitive would send us to the vet, her with bloody diarrhea and me scared silly. We tried her on several different kinds of dog foods back in the day(not all that many back then - early '90's) but she could only tolerate that one food - that rather awful Science Diet Sensitive and she had to live on it all her life once we put her on it. It could be Tibbe is like that now as once he went on Hill's I/D GI last year and then the vet changed it to half Hill's I/D Hepatic this spring, he's eaten nothing else because I gave him a bite of bread back then and he got sick again for a couple of days. Tried him twice on Royal Canin but he itches terribly right away afterward. Even his treats are made from his Hill's I/D GI/Hepatic kibble mix and he never ever gets a bite of human food or other dog food since - until that corn! I should have just had a sandwich and Tibbe might not have had this spell. ![]()
