Just seeing this, Lynzy. I pray Mia2 will get better soon! Been to Cornell with my shepherd and they are up on the latest things. Will be keeping her in my prayers and thoughts.

Lynzy I've been following along on Mia2 and keeping updated. I'm not sure as I have never faced that situation with a doggie before but maybe they needed to do the cysto to get the urine to ensure they had a sterile sample and adequate amount of urine to grow the culture for sensitivity to antibiotics. Just guessing here but that would be one of my guesses. I guess on a cysto they take a look-see inside the bladder to look for anomalies also but really guessing there as I'm not sure that that procedure on a dog involves. I'm praying for your baby and that she can be made to be better, all the better to enjoy that Vinnie.

A cysto is done to obtain a sterile specimen. That way a culture and sensitivity is done and they will know what antibiotic to treat with. These are commonly done.
