Prayers for Mia2 and Mom. Any news?

Sending lots of good thoughts your way, for you and Mia2. Try not to worry too much, though I know it's unavoidable.

It's a little odd they gave you antibio without even knowing what they were fighting...I mean, some bugs are gram+ and some gram- so you kinda gotta know...unless they gave you a broad spectrum antibiotic. Still though, a bit odd bc certain meds def work best for certain bugs.

There are other causes of high WBC besides infection. Some diseases cause it, immune disorders cause it, bone marrow problems, steroids, arthritis, smoking...and other stuff.

They'll get to the bottom of it eventually, so hang in there. Hugs to you both!

I'm so sorry to hear about this and I sure hope it is going to turn out to be a minor problem or better yet - no problem at all.

That link is great information that will not promote "mind movies" but give you facts to appropriate helpful questions when more lab information is available. I am so sorry this is happening. You have already gone through so much. I did visit with a Biewer owner recently with a dog diagnosed with Leukemia. After a couple of months and more lab work the dog is completely cleared of that diagnosis. Mia2 is in my prayers.

BTW - I now have a new term to use "mind movies" - accurately describes what we all do.
