| I read that dogs that had pancreatitis will not eat bc of the severe abdominal pain they went through. This is a little different, but Princess had colitis which is inflammation of the colon or large intestines & she didn't want to eat either. Vet said to feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken breast & white rice. She wouldn't eat, so I had to force feed her. I put some in her mouth & closed it shut until she swallowed, then she started eating on her own. I also had to syringe feed her previously. It's very important that a dog w/ pancreatitis & colitis be on a diet low in fat, absolutely no table scraps & high fatty foods. Hope she'll continue to improve & eat well on her own!

| Mia's progress this evening has been amazing! She is up running around and talking to me like she normally does. Grr grr grr... I think we are well on the road to recovery! I know we have learned a lot about what not to let our little ones eat! She really has had me worried. I have been preaching to all our friends here about what to not let their dogs eat! I hope she continues to get back to her normal self quickly. |

| Any suggestions ? I've tried boiled chicken. Chicken broth. Baby food. Eggs. Rice. Kibble. Would just plain low fat yogurt be bad? |

| She has eaten chicken and rice this evening. It seems like every time she eats anything she feels soo bad. All I can do is sit here with her. She just shivers. |

| Sounds like she needs to be seen by a vet.

| Poor girl. I was hoping the good news was the end of it. Uni went through a similar situation with her pancreatitis. Didn't want chicken, rice, egg, anything really. And those are her fave foods. We had to go back to the vet a few times. Remember, she had bloody diarrhea and loose stool for two weeks! It was really tough on her.Now I feed her the lowest fat % I can find on kibble. But before she gets better, I would take her back to the vet. Are you back in your town yet or still away? Is her poop still soft? Any blood? Poor girl. I hope she gets better soon.

| We got home last night. I think the drive was tiring for her. They are all 3 usually worn out when we get home. I have an apt for Monday. I was hoping it would just be a checkup. She is sleeping now. Her poo is still soft but it is back to the right color. She has not been throwing up. But she has not thrown up at all with this. I'm still getting her up every hour or so to go potty and get a drink. |

| We are much much better today. Mia fussed at me til I had her breakfast ready this morning (she stands and barks at me like I'm doing it to slow). I think we have finally gotten over the hump! She is still not up to full speed but we are definitely on the mend. I'm curious to see what her weight will be when we go to the vet tomorrow. She was 4 pounds when this started last week. She is eating chicken and rice, dry kibble, and puppy cookies of course. Still turns her nose up at her regular food. |

| Glad to hear she is getting better. I would still take her in just to be on the safe side, but sounds like that is what you are planning anyway. hope she gets the all clear tomorrow!

| We went to the vet today, he said she was doing really well all things considered. We lost about half a pound. Which is quite a bit when you are only 4 pounds to start. He said to keep feeding her what she is eating and to add in the Hills WD food for a couple of weeks to transition her back on her regular diet. She has pretty much been her fiesty little self today. But still tires out pretty quick. So I think we are going to be just fine. I have learned a lot this week and hope it helps someone else or maybe prevents someone from going thru this.
