I read that dogs that had pancreatitis will not eat bc of the severe abdominal pain they went through. This is a little different, but Princess had colitis which is inflammation of the colon or large intestines & she didn't want to eat either. Vet said to feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken breast & white rice. She wouldn't eat, so I had to force feed her. I put some in her mouth & closed it shut until she swallowed, then she started eating on her own. I also had to syringe feed her previously.
It's very important that a dog w/ pancreatitis & colitis be on a diet low in fat, absolutely no table scraps & high fatty foods.
Hope she'll continue to improve & eat well on her own!
