| Thank you so much, everyone! My hubby called and said she finally came out of the carrier because he was eating some cereal. lol However, she went right back in when the cereal was gone. The one thing I'm concerned about is she is constantly licking where they gave her the shot. Her leg and her chin are soaking wet. I'm scared she will get a rash from licking so much.

| Well, she's doing much better today. Seems to be back to normal because she is aggrevating her brother again lol However, she seems to have come un-house broken. I kind of expected some accidents but she's had 4 (2 pees and 2 poos) since last night. I think we are just going to have to start from scratch again because tomorrow... she gets spayed (yeah, I'm happy and sad and worried at the same time lol)I figure, this weekend will be devoted to getting her back to a solid routine and confining her access to all areas of the house. She picked it up quickly before (thanks to watching big brother) so I'm sure she'll come around.

| Well, she is at the vet now to get spayed. I'm still waiting for them to call me about the results of the bloodwork and if/how many teeth she needs pulled. If I don't hear from them by 11:30am, I'm calling. I'm one of those annoyng moms lol I already called one time to ask if she might need a cone because she is a licker apparently (based on what she did when she got the injection the other day). The nurse called the cones cruel but that I could buy one. Wellll, I don't want to be cruel but I also don't want her messing up her stitches. She suggested a baby onesie. That's a pretty good idea

| i am not sure how much she weighs but Lola was around 4.5 lbs at her spay and would have needed a preemie onsie. if you have time before you pick her up I would be calling around to see who has them in your area, get one with legs because they can easily get their tongues in the sides of the legs. I wish I would have known about the onsie before the spay because there were no stores that were close by that carried them and I did not want to leave her for the first few days. K Mart and Wall mart do not carry preemies, you have to go to a baby store, a Carters outlet, a babies are us type of place. When you think about it most babies are 6 lbs or larger so that is often to large for a yorkie, good luck

| Wow, I don't know what it is about this year and bee stings! Even Bentley got stung last week. It was already getting dusk out. Glad all turned out well for Mandie. Praying all goes well with her spay...will be looking for an update.

| YT 1000 Club Member | When Becca was spayed, I don't think she licked the wound over once. My Vet used the Endoscopic Procedure, so there was just the tiniest little place on her lower stomach. And, after a few months, the place totally disappeared, and all is well. On the Wasp issue... That would drive me nuts, one of mine yelling and not exactly knowing why. (hasn't happened to one of mine yet) I can't believe how difficult it was to find the stingers, and TWO to boot. I use that Wasp/Hornet Spray that shoots about 20' every time I see any of them starting a Nest. Kind of preventative maintenance, I just won't let any of them take residence anywhere around us. A Cost Saving Note... The Benedryl/Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride used for Humans, is the same stuff they Prescribe for our Dogs. A bottle OTC from Walmart or other Discount Pharmacy is a LOT cheaper than getting a Prescription from the Vet, and that will include many more pills than a prescription. If your animal needs it to get by a sting or itch, you can buy the Human size which is 25mg, and use a Pill Splitter to reduce the dose. Usually this dosage is recomended... 25 Lbs and up = 25mg (one pill) 10-25 Lbs = 12.5 mg (1/2 pill) 0-10 Lbs = 6 mg (1/4 pill) Just ask your Vet what frequency and amount is needed. I got a separate little Bottle, and split up several pills to half and quarter sizes, and STILL had over 300 pills left for human use if needed. That's pretty good for a couple bucks.

| UPDATE: Her bloodwork was fine and she came through the surgery fine. I'll be picking her up in a few hours. YAY -I had them check to see if she needed any teeth pulled and they said it was "too soon to tell". Apparently, she's still got baby teeth in spots but nothing trying to come thru yet on the adult side. I do know she's lost her baby teeth in the front (bottom and top) and the adult are already coming thru pretty good. SWHouston - thank you for all the tips! The nest is an "in-ground" one. A biologist next store had told us to put a clear glass bowl over the hole but that didn't seem to work. So, I got that spray you are talking about...1st night did nothing and 2nd night (I filled the hole up) seems to have done more but I still see some around the hole this morning. I researched last night and it seems a really good technique is to lay a thick tarp over the area (sealing it off really well with bricks or heavy stuff). This will keep them from getting out to get food and it will suffocate them if the tarp is thick enough and sealed well. That's what I'm going to do tonight. Thank you all for keeping me company in this thread the past couple of days. It has helped my nerves sooo much!! Hugs!

| YT 1000 Club Member | OH, they were nesting in the Ground ! ![]() That caned Spray works best for nest which are attached to a building...like that. I guess I have another Note... I've found that if you buy a "concentrated" Liquid like Malathion or Diasanon, you can mix up a quart/gallon and pour it down into the hole. That TOTALLY saturates the nest and ground around it, and you can make up several repeats of dosage, if other nests occur. That's a lot less expensive than buying Cans of Spray. It's also very good do pour around your foundation, to deter Ants and other insects. Just another way to stretch your bucks.
