Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I am SO sorry! I feel terrible for you . I think this kind of loss is the worst nightmare for all of us...that fear w/ surgery for our furbabies. I am just so sorry. I wanted to ask if they did pre-op bloods?

| Hello.. Thank you all for your responses, prayers and support.. It has been such a devastating experience. I miss her everyday and its so hard to live with out her. I did get the pre op blood work and was told that everything had come out okay. They did blood work the following day when I took her back and was told that she had pancreatitsis and that it was brought upon by her surgery. I' won't be able to get the autopsy because I decided to get my baby cremated and keep her ashes with me everywhere I go. I will be going back to request her chart and go over the documentation of the vet. |

| What a tragic and shocking way to lose your little Yorkie. I am so sorry for your great loss. If pre-op blood work didn't catch it but post-op blood work did, makes you wonder what different blood tests were done, if any. I personally haven't heard of spaying bringing on pancreatitis but if there was no indication she had it before, perhaps the stress of the surgery and pain did? It is truly every dog owner's worst fear - losing our dog from doing the right things such as spaying, neutering, dental cleanings. What a heartache you have to live with - I know it is going to be so very hard from here on out. May God grant you some peace and healing knowing you did all that you could.

| My heart is breaking for you and your precious little Ally. We all try to do the right things for our little ones (spaying etc) and when we lose one to something that is suppose to be a routine procedure it is almost unbearable. Rest in peace sweet little baby girl and let my girls be your guide at the bridge. |

| When I was honored with my first yorkie years ago something the breeder instructed me on and provided information about was anesthesia. She was very adimate about the use of anesthesia for any proceedure for my yorkie saying that they do not respond well and can have devistating outcomes if standard anesthesia is used and when I have proceedures done to ask for I pronounce it Sevaflo. Saying it is much safer on their systems and have much better outcomes than the standard anesthesia vets typically use. |

| Oh my gosh, I'm SO sorry to hear this. What a tragedy! Poor you! I pray you find answers that you need for closure. I know this may not be helpful now, but sometimes there are no answers, it was just their time. My heart aches for you so much. RIP sweet Ally.
