I totally agree. While I am not one to rush to the vet for *every* little thing - I think it's so important to get to the vet earlier rather than later. If you just have that gut feeling and KNOW your baby is not right, you will know, and should follow your gut.

Hoping that your baby will get better quickly. Your vet must be wonderful to meet you on an off day.
Our rule around here is if I would take a kid to the ER or Dr I will take a furbaby.

I know!! 85% of the time, when you have one with a blood sugar issue, that is the first thing that comes to mind, naturally! It is usually experience that makes us realize it is something else, like in your case.....I am hoping newbies will have read this and give the NurtiCal, but then head for the vet, just to make sure. If this were to happen at night, if they gave the NurtiCal and the baby improved, and then everyone went to bed thinking all was well, they could wake up the next morning with a critically ill ....or even worse....baby!

Well from 1:00 to 4:00 she vomited 4 times. Since then she is getting fluids by syringe every hour (3 ml). Since four she has not vomited any more. I called the vet and if she continues to vomit she will go in and be put on IV fluids. I think the oral antibiotic may be making her vomit. She was not vomiting at all when I took her in. Poor baby. Hoping we make it from here on out without vomiting. And can continue to hydrate.

She is better!! Since 4:00 she has kept her hourly fluids down and ate about a tsp full of Science Diet I/D. Yeah!!!!!

Still no vomiting!!! Yeah!!! I am so glad! She has been acting more herself too. Praying this will continue! Makes my heart smile now that she is feeling better.
