| I just saw the up date...sooooooooo happy he is doing so well!!! It is so scary what these little buggers can do to themselves, and how quickly they can do it!!! Hold him on your lap and put that warm moist heat across his back and sing to him....he will be a happy camper! I have a ramp to my bed because my babies just could not use the stairs...going up was not a problem, but they could NOT come down! I got the ramp, and everyone manages it just fine....then I started to worry what if in the rush of the whole posse running up the ramp to get onto the bed, someone got "pushed off" the side of the ramp???? So, I went and got a large cardboard box from the U-Haul place, that was as wide (side to side) as the ramp and as tall as the tallest part of the ramp (bed level)....I cut one side out of the box...placed the box with the cut out side facing away from the bed and the intact side of the box up against the bed....I then put the ramp inside the box, so that the sides of the box form an enclosure on the sides of the ramp, all the way up to the bed!! Am I making sense? It works super! There is only about 8 inches at the very bottom of the ramp, closest to the floor, that is not enclosed in the box.... |

I wonder if they make ramps with rails or something? Where did you get your ramp?

So glad to hear Tibbe is feeling better! A few years ago I bought a wood-frame ramp to put next to my bed. It runs the length of the the bed almost, with one side of the ramp pressed up against the side of my bed and the other side open to the room. For the open side, I went to Lowes and had them cut me a peice of plywood the same length as the ramp and several inches high. Then I attached the plywood to the open wooden side of the ramp with screws and my drill. I covered up the plywood with some material that matches my decor (used a staple gun). This was much, much less expensive than buying a ramp that already included rails - plus those rails were so low I was worried they weren't enough protection. It has worked beautifully! But, I'm a single person. For couples, you might consider putting the tall end of the ramp up against a small spot of the bed and then attaching "rails" down both sides instead of just one. Good luck!

| I cant remember where I got it...it is the Snoozer Scalloped Pet Ramp.... easier for them to climb up the scalloped ramp rather then the flat ramp. |
