I'm just seeing this too - hope Tibbe is feeling better today and Mama too! I know that you are giving him the best care ever.

Both Lucy and Ringo are very quiet/sedated when taking any kind of pain Meds - I hope that's what it is.

Just an update on little Tibbe - he is better today by leaps & bounds. We both slept very well last night here in the den & slept late this morning. I can hardly believe it since Tibbe was so wiped out last night when we got home from the second ER Vet visit & he just lay like a little lump with his ears all out to the side. You could hardly get him to perk his ears yesterday but today, even though he's got a full blood level of both meds on board, he's much more alert, active & like himself. He's had his breakfast, peed/pooed outside & had some water. He even helped me to take the garbage out, walking along beside me(couldn't let him trot/run like he usually does)! He's barking again. It's hard to believe he is the same dog & his steadiness on his feet is back except for one little bobble when he first got up this morning. He's no longer carrying his ears out toward the side but up & perked - a sure sign Tibbe is better. I can palpate no tenderness anywhere on him but he's such a little stoic I wasn't really expecting to. His belly is pliable & soft and his pupils are RR&R. That foot thing you do to check reflexes is snappy. His gums are fine. He's just a little whiney rather than growly - meaning when he hears some odd noise or alerts, his first normal response is usually a growl & later a bark if it's something "big" but today, he kind of whines out first & then barks, like he's a bit in his cups so I guess he's still tipsy from his medications. He's only ever whiney like this after his neuter & his dentals when he's on medication, so I think he's just a little "drunk" now. He's still on restricted confinement with no jumping whatsoever & mommie is lifting him onto my lap for cuddles & such but the rest of the time he's confined to the den with the exception of that little trip out to the alley this morning. I am so thankful to you all for the prayers & warm thoughts & caring about Tibbe!!! It is so good to have someone to turn to when you are really worried - and I really was so scared. I kept wondering if he'd hit his head/chin or gotten a neck injury & was going to be impaired somehow but today he's so much more "there", I know it's still possible but I'm thinking much more realistically today. It's good to know about the Activator should he turn out to have a "neck". In lieu of that treatment, for now, I will be using the warm, damp cloth. I'm cautiously optimistic that whatever happened to him getting down off the couch, he was swollen & hurting yesterday and after treatment, time & rest, he's just healing. I think I might try replacing his doggie steps with a ramp to see if that is easier for a sleepy dog to navigate when trying to follow his mommie to the bathroom in the middle of the night! But what if he tries to jump off the side? Well, for now we aren't jumping so I'll worry about that later, along with the increased lipase. But for the present, good vetting & prayers have really helped my little sweetie feel much, much better. Thank you all more than you know for being there & offering so much in the way of support. Knowing Yorkie-lovers from all over are praying & thinking of Tibbe is invaluable. I don't know what I'd do without YorkieTalk at times like this! ♥♥♥

He's seen two different vets so at least I have the benefit of two different assessments to go on. I'm wondering if he didn't fall & hit his head & he's got a low-grade concussion with a headache & possibly a neck strain but if he's concussed, he's got none of the neurological signs they look for yet & it will be 24 hours since whatever happened in about 2 1/2 hours. I have been singing the "Jesus Loves Me.....This I Know" tune to him, changing the lyrics to "....Loves You..." & he seems to love that. He just closes his little eyes & sighs. He loves to be cuddled & sung to, even when he's feeling so bad. Your prayers will surely be appreciated.

I sing "Jesus loves me, this I know....", to my babies....my newborns especially! It has a calming effect I think....I hope Tibbe is doing better today....
