Sophie's such a sweetheart! Definitely doesn't appear worse... and she's eating and drinking and acting normal?

yup she's being her usual wild child self! Eating and drinking plenty, playing, normal pottying. The only thing out of the norm is her cooperation! She's never this willing to let me take pictures of her, she must know I'm worried

***UPDATE***

The spots on Sophia's chest are gone, and the one on her arm has faded significantly. I called the vet this AM and they said if the spots come back, or the one on her arm doesn't go away, then call back to schedule an appointment!

So far so good

My little Morky Maddie has been hopping around on three legs now for about
three weeks or so. She doesn't do it all the time though. She'll be running, playing, etc. on all four when all of a sudden she lifts her back left leg like somethings hurting her. We carried her to the vet on Thursday and they said her knee cap is popping out of joint and she'll have to have surgery before arthritus sets in the joint. She's learned how to stretch her leg out and get it to pop back in. She doesn't act like she's in pain at all. Has anyone out there heard of this before and how bad is the surgery going to be and does anyone know about the cost of this surgery.

Hi and Welcome to YT! Sorry about your pup... these are normally graded by the vet to be Stage 1 through 4, with 4 being the worst (the knee does not pop back in on it's own and may be painful). Surgery is usually done only on Stage 4, as many dogs can manage without pain for their entire lives in the lower stages. Overextending while running and jumping on and off beds and furniture can make it worse. Surgeries can run from $450.00 to $3000.00 depending on the vet and where you live (some areas are more expensive).

I would strongly suggest that you go to a board certified orthopedic surgeon. You will not find one for less than around $1,500. Some vets do the surgery and charge less, but you run a risk of having to do a repeat and it will end up costing more. Best to go to the best from the start in my opinion.
If your vet does not know of a surgeon to refer you to, you can do a search on American College of Veterinary Surgeons

The risk with not repairing a luxating patella is a torn cruciate ligament and then you are talking about more invasive surgery.

Our boys get the same weird red spots that we can't tell if they are bug bites or just some sort allergy, as the vet suggested. Max has 2 right now that are dried up and almost healed.

Just seeing this..... Yeah... Our boys do get the same strange weird spots. I wipe his tummy down with a teeny bit of Nutiva coconut oil when that happens.

It could just be from something she walked over on one of your outtings and will probably go away on its own. Be sure and keep an eye on it and see that it doesn't get any worse.
Also good to check inside their ears and make sure they aren't getting infection there along with it.

They came and went so fast !!!!! (even though it seemed like forever to go away) I do want to pick up some coconut oil in case they come back.

It's hard to tell from Sophia's pics, but hers do remind me more of bruising -- like when Max was neutered he had a bit of bruising on his tummy from trying to be active when he shouldn't have.

These are the exact Same Spots that Riley gets!! Usually from when
we go on long walks outside.... I think they are some kind of grass allergy....?!
I now rub Nutiva Organic Coconut Oil on them and they will disappear...
They sell it at the GNC in my neighborhood.
