| Well, it was definitely the candle wick..we found pieces of it crumbled on the floor. She licked it from the carpet so her tongue was black, but I don't think she ingested any thank god. Thanks for all the replies and cautions, we are going to scour the rooms again to make sure there's nothing she can get into. She's doing great and even escaped from her pen again when we left her in the room to cook lunch.

| No your not being too sensitive. She was being rude. My vet's ladies know these are my babies and I am going to do what ever is needed to get them help. When my Rosie got sick last time I was pushed before everyone else because it was an emergency (She was vomiting and pooing with blood in it). The vet came out and got her immediately and took her back. There is no way I would have waited 2 to 3 hours. You need to seek out a vet that is caring and knowledgeable as well as pleasant ladies (or men) who can assist you when needed. If you really like the vet then he needs to know about what is going on up front. If you don't really like him, start asking around or doing some research and find a new one. Good luck! I know that is not always an easy task.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Isn't it weird how they will eat the worst tasting stuff, yet they are fussy when it comes to food?

| Had you dropped wick on the floor or did she climb onto a table to get it? Glad to hear you figured it out. My friend and I had a discussion about doctors' offices and we decided that there must be a question on the form that asks if the applicant is a bit#$ because so many of them are. They usually act like you are bothering them. The ones at my VET are ok, but I haven't noticed them to be especially warm and fuzzy. I'm sure part of it depends on how busy they are. |

| Puppies remind me of that saying: "Give them an inch and they TAKE a mile." Well puppies don't need an inch in the first place they will get into trouble no matter what!
