| I am so sorry to hear Buddy is not doing well. My Dixie was over 16 when we finally had to make the decision to let her go. You will know when the time is right. If he is not eating then I think it would be best to take him to the vet. My prayers are with you, your wife and Buddy.

We did not get to do that, but still we had a beautifull morning together, until it was time to go to the vets. You can bring a blankie from home, or her bed with you to the vets if you elect to go there. Because our Zoey was a very big dog, we laid our family blanket on the floor and she did have her head in my lap.

| I was holding my precious Dixie when the vet administered the shot. She instantly close her eyes and was at peace. Of course I could not stop crying but I did not of want the vet to do it without me being there. I am crying just thinking about her. You never get over losing a beloved pet.

| She isn't hurting anymore, keep that thought, and remember her better days to get you though the pain of not having her. Being there for her took a lot of courage. Time will soften your loss, but we really never forget our furbabies. R. I. P. Dixie.

| I am so sorry to hear that your precious little Buddy is not doing well. I know it is scary because you aren't sure what they will tell you, but I would take him in to the vet. I know you love Buddy so much and I wish you all the best. I am sorry I'm not much help but I pray he will be ok. He is a beautiful little guy. |

| Called my wife at work and told her that Buddy needed to go to the vets and she was home within the hour. I held him the whole time and as I drove to the Vet hospital, Sherry cried and gave him lots of love. We both kind of knew what was going to happen. After the doctor examined him and did some blood work, we all decided it was time to let go. Dr. let us stay with him for while then she came back and my wife had to leave but I wasn't going to let him be alone so we had him on a towel and I hugged him and told him how much we loved him. She injected one shot and he laid his head in my hand and went to sleep. Went home and gave our little girl Holly and big hug and I had to go lay down. Still very hard but I know he is at peace and he had a great life and LOTS of live. Will miss you my little man, Buddy! |

| I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you and your wife have my most sincere sympathy and compassion during this most difficult time. After losing my precious October in April, I know the pain and sorrow you are feeling at this time. And it is such a sadness that cannot be adequately expressed with words. Words are not enough at this time so I pray God's peace comfort you during this time. I am so very sorry. Little Buddy will never suffer again and now he is once more whole and full of life. Please accept my deepest condolences at this time. |

| I am so very sorry that your beloved friend Buddy has left this earth to play over the Rainbow Bridge. You had a wonderful and long life with him and took such great and compassionate care of him until he could go on no longer. He is at peace now and you are devastated, but know that you did what was best for him. Those of us who have said goodbye to our beloved pets understand how terrible you feel. You must have so many happy memories of little Buddy and these will help comfort you now he is gone. Poor Holly will miss him too, they know when their fur friends are gone. Thinking of you. Rest in peace Buddy, you were so loved and now deeply missed. Tears and prayers. |

| Oh Barry, I am so very sorry. I remember when you came here almost a year and a half ago, worried about dear Buddy. I am so glad you had that extra year with him. He got to enjoy some lovely vacations, sunbathing, and quiet nights together on the sofa with you and your wife. Even so, no matter how much time we are given with our little ones, it's just never enough, is it? You have both been wonderful parents to your fur children, and clearly, they both adore you. You made such a brave choice to release Buddy in the end. It was the kind and right thing to do. Still, I know your hearts are shattered. Losing our sweet fur babies is a pain that cuts like a knife. It will be hard for awhile, getting use to the "new normal". Holly will feel the pain too. Perhaps you can do something special in Buddy's name, as a remembrance of him? I am so very sorry for your loss. Please send my deepest sympathy to your wife during these difficult days. I'm glad you came and updated us. We really do care.

| Not much sleep last night as I wanted to check on my baby boy but knowing he wasn't there anymore. Holly keeps going over where his bed was and just been lying around. I can tell by her eyes, so is sad. This past week-end we took him on his last RV camping trip and he loved to be on Sherry lap to feel the heat off the fire pit and we carried him around the park because he loved the wind in his face. It will take some time to get past this but we have Holly to share our love with, knowing that she will not replace Buddy but she is our baby girl and I know her heart is hurting as well so all we can do now is hold her close and tell her we love her. THANKS for all the replies and I think it will make us know we made the right decision to put Little Buddy to rest. |

| Barry, Buddy was just so precious. He reminds me so much of my Dixie and Little Man that are no longer with us. Buddy will live on in your heart. How old is your little girl? I would love to see pictures of her too. I know she is missing Buddy too.
