I am terrified for my boys. I have 2 boys from the same liter. They are turning 8 years old this year. They have never spent a night away from each other and I dread the day that something happens to 1 and not the other. I pray that does not happen. I think the other will die of a broken heart. They are SO tightly bonded with each other. Protective of each other and get very anxious when they are not near each other. I have had multiple groomers tell me they have to cage them together, or if that's against the policy, then they need to cage them right next to each other so they can see and smell each other.

It is worrisome. I have a brother and sister and I worry about the same thing. I think she would be ok, but he is SO attached to her.

It's been a week today since my little man left us and still hard dealing but I know it will take time.

Last Thurs, Sherry and I was able to talk about him while we were having dinner and needless to say, neither of us finished our dinner. Have a picture of him on my desk so every morning and before going to bed, I tell him how much I miss him and how I love him.

Holly is dealing as well so spending a lot of time playing and holding her.

Here is a picture I found when Buddy was about 12 weeks old. I will try to load it but it might be too big.

SORRY about the ads, I resized it with a tool on the internet.

I am so sorry. When we lose our babies the grief process is so long and difficult. Living without them just seems unbearable.

I loved seeing the picture of Buddy when he was a baby. He was as handsome then as he was when he was older, a real cutie pie.

Buddy was such an adorable boy. I know how much you are hurting. With time you will get better but Buddy will always have a place in your heart.

Buddy is so adorable, it is amazing how they can be so small and yet fill up your whole world.

I'm so very sorry. I'm sitting here crying. It hurts so much because of the love you have for your precious pups. Sending prayers to heal your broken hearts.

It's been 3 weeks yesterday that our little boy, Buddy left us and I want to thanks everyone on YorkieTalk for the support that you showed us during this last year.

It is still hard but my wife and I are now able to talk about the good time we had and the memories of the past 15+ years. This week-end will be a little hard because we are going camping and that is one thing that Buddy enjoyed doing. He liked running in the grass and the wind in his face.

Am going to try to post more on this forum as we move forward.

Holly also seems to be getting over the loss of her friend because she seems to me more playful and not just lying around. We show her lost of love.

Give your, "kids" a big hug everyday because one day they will leave us and all you will have is those great memories.

After the doctor examined him and did some blood work, we all decided it was time to let go. Dr. let us stay with him for while then she came back and my wife had to leave but I wasn't going to let him be alone so we had him on a towel and I hugged him and told him how much we loved him. She injected one shot and he laid his head in my hand and went to sleep.

Went home and gave our little girl Holly and big hug and I had to go lay down. Still very hard but I know he is at peace and he had a great life and LOTS of live.

Will miss you my little man, Buddy!
I am so sorry! I was just reading about Yorkie behavior and I couldn't help but cry to this message! I hope you keep having great memories with Holly and Buddy sees you from the sky! RIP Buddy!

Hi and welcome!
The support you will find here will be phenomenal. I'm glad you found us.
My Vet agrees with the other Vets. As long as he is eating and drinking, is not in pain or is not suffering in any way, he's fine. My first Yorkie Merlin, lived to be almost 17 years old. I had similar circumstances as you. He was the picture of health till he turned about 15. No one could believe he was as old as he was. Then he lost his eyesight and everything went downhill from there. Although they say that lots of dogs recover from going blind, and they find their way around the house eventually and go on to adjust to this life change, Merlin never did. I spent lots of time with him and gave him lots of love and carried him around because he seemed so lost and would stand in the middle of the hallway and cry because he didn't know where he was. But my time with him was precious and he still had quality of life because he was so happy when he was with me. But then, he stopped eating, and then he stopped drinking. I started home cooking for him but even that was refused. Then I knew it was time to let him go. It's different for each individual. It was very hard, but I know it was what was best for him. He will tell you. I think he really will
