Called my wife at work and told her that Buddy needed to go to the vets and she was home within the hour. I held him the whole time and as I drove to the Vet hospital, Sherry cried and gave him lots of love. We both kind of knew what was going to happen.
After the doctor examined him and did some blood work, we all decided it was time to let go. Dr. let us stay with him for while then she came back and my wife had to leave but I wasn't going to let him be alone so we had him on a towel and I hugged him and told him how much we loved him. She injected one shot and he laid his head in my hand and went to sleep.
Went home and gave our little girl Holly and big hug and I had to go lay down. Still very hard but I know he is at peace and he had a great life and LOTS of live.
