| Just checking in on Mr. Gatsby. Is he back to 100%? We have been thinking of him.

| Hi Kristin, So nice of you to ask about Gatsby! He is 100% as far as the attack goes (although he got sick today and barfed on our couch, which is very rare. The insurance company paid the last bill. He has a lot of scars on his underside (and a very bad haircut) but he's good to go! |

Very happy insurance covered all the bills too. I agree with Karen, Gatsby's beautiful hair will grow back and the scars will fade. Our neighbor's Yorkie was attacked by a hawk and his surgical incisions looked like Gatsby's, and they have faded big time after only a few months. The most important thing is that you have your precious Gatsby after this terrifying attack. We do think of him every day and will continue to send good thoughts his way. Stay out of trouble and enjoy your holidays.

| I am so happy to hear that Gatsby is doing well! As for the hair, the foster I had who had extensive wounds due to a dog attack now has hair! Some of it came back white, but she does have hair! I will bet that Gatsby will as well!

| I understand your anguish. We are nearly 3 weeks post attack and nearly back to normal. Our senior (14 years) didn't suffer any internal injuries, but did have severe trauma and lacerations. The price seems really high! Our event lasted 2 days @ e-vet, 3 visits to regular vet for adjunct treatment and followup and cost around 1k. I would have paid more....prayers obviously trailing the conversation, but glad to hear Gatsby is doing well. The vomiting came when we gave the pain medication.
