Thank you all for the prayers and words of support~you all mean soo much to me and my Lucy!!! :)

Wondering when test results usually come in???? I am anxious to see them and it is only 9am here but I want to call the Vet (knowing they probably don't have them but...) and find out what the results of the BAT was!!!

We are a little stir crazy here~it's been SOOOO hot and humid here~heat index 110 so very little time outside as it is hard on all of us. The flies are really bad this year too I have never seen anything like it, they are buzzing by my head every time we go out and I have to shoo them away from poor Lucy's head and they just stick on poor Tubby's nose....I think one bit him because he had a little bump on his nose like the bump I had on my leg....ugh!! :eek:

Call the vet, call the vet, call the vet......:) I'm excited for you and Lucy and I am very happy that she is doing so well.

We are going to be joining you in the heat very soon. Yuck. We have been enjoying mild weather the last few days.

Ugh....I hope the heat stays away from you it has been in the 90's with 100% humidity here. Last night we had a heat lightening storm....it was kind of pretty actually but we don't need any more storms here...the last couple still have people cleaning up the poor trees that are down!

UGH!!! Just called the clinic and she said the results are not in AND she also said the Dr we saw is not in today and he is the one that calls with the results so I won't get them until tomorrow!!!! Another anxious day.....I will have to keep myself busy!!

I hate waiting. Last week, Barney's blood work came in on a day my vet was off - so they sent me his blood work via email as they usually do and said he was fine. I read his blood work and it was not fine so I called my vet but it was a few days before I got to really talk to her so I was going CRAZY. But, once I talked to her it was fine and we have a plan -- so what I am saying is, stick with the vet you saw because sometimes when someone else reads it you get a crazy message from the receptionist and you go even more crazy waiting. I just focused on it 24 hours a day and drove my friends and family crazy, so I have no advice on how to manage to keep busy and not think about it today. :animal-pa

I hear ya....I mowed my lawn this morning and it was HOT, then I ran to town and got food for Lucy and I had a coupon for a free Fromm treat (which I found of facebook) which was a plus but now I am home and I will be patiently (or not) waiting for tomorrow to come QUICKER than it will come!!

I am glad you finally talked to your Dr and you have a plan. I may actually call in the morning and try to go in and talk to him tomorrow because he had asked for me to bring an ingredients list of the food I feed her and the treats I give...we will see what happens tomorrow I guess.............is it tomorrow yet? :)
Well, I hope you are all staying cool (if it is HOT in your area) the heat index here today is 103....needless to say we are not getting much playtime outside either so we are all a little stir crazy here!!

So do we. It's been hot for weeks and no end in sight. Our temps are around 100 with high heat indexes and it stopped raining here, too.:(

BAT results are in.....

So the Dr called first thing this morning and told me what the BAT results were and I am so confused my stomach is churning!!
Normal BAT
Pre food: 0-12
Post food: Below 25

Lucy: Pre~ 102 :eek: and Post~ 78 :eek:

My Dr is going to call the vet at Blue Pearl and once they discuss Lucy\'s case they will be in contact with me and go from there. He asked if she has had any symptoms, wobbling, or head pressing and she has NEVER had those symptoms only the vomiting one day and not wanting to eat for a couple of days over a month ago and she has been fine with NO symptoms since then so I am confused as to why this would come out this way!!!!
I need answers and I am going to be sick until he calls again after he talks with the other Dr!!! :(:(

I forget and don\'t want to skim the whole thread, so what tests did they do? The enzymes came down into normal range now?
