Thank you!! We both need them as I have been a nervous wreck but since she is eating and has more energy it has given me some comfort as well as all of the support I am getting here! :hearts6::thankyou2 |

We find out that when our furbabies are sick, YT members really pull together and provide wonderful support. I know the last time I took Rosie to the er vet there was one member that stayed with me through it all. All the way to checking on us after she was getting better. It really does make a difference. I don't know what I would have done without the support. Please know that we are here and will support you all the way. Hopefully you will hear something tomorrow. |
Lucy is a trooper, being a good girl for the tests and vet visits. I will continue to pray for your little girl and you. |
Update Hi everyone! As you probably guessed I did not hear about Lucy's Bile acids test yet so we wait until Monday for the results.... Lucy has actually been doing really, really well, she is eating normally, playing, and has her usual energy, pooping normally, etc. She seems to be just like her normal self!! So....I am confused, is it possible she got into something that could shoot the liver levels that high and with a healthier diet and treats things are back to normal??? I mean literally since I took her in on Thursday she has not had any of the issues that she previously had. I wonder if it is a shunt or if it may be MVD?! I know they have to rule out the shunt before they diagnose MVD so I am going through with all of the tests of course to make sure but I am hoping this is something that can be fixed with diet so that she doesn't have to go through a biopsy or surgery!! I am so anxious I have been keeping an extremely close eye on her almost to a fault as now she is becoming anxious when I am not around and when I leave she wants to go with me...so I hope that doesn't become a problem in the future but I am so worried about what is going on with her I just need to be close to her to make sure she is okay. Well, I will let you know what I learn on Monday. |
Just seeing this and wanted to send good vibes for your little one. I have two dogs with MVD, one was diagnosed by biopsy- the other was diagnosed only with bile acid tests (and general circumstances). Both are managed only with diet changes. I will keep your little one in my thoughts. |

Thank you!! I am hoping that my Lucy will have the same results. May I ask what the initial tests of your two little ones were. Lucy's liver levels were over 900.... |
Keeping Lucy in my prayers for a great outcome. My Cali has mild MVD and I just keep her on a low protein diet. |

She is the dog whose MVD was confirmed by biopsy. My other dogs were slightly higher, I don't have them in front of me now (I think something like 15 & 65 or something)- he was totally asymptomatic and the full brother to my Chloe so we decided to "diagnose" MVD based on BATS alone and never biopsied. |

Maybe I am reading too much!! ;) |
I'm praying for you and your sweet Lucy. Sending hugs to you both. |
It stinks having to wait until Monday. But good news she is feeling better! Let us know what you find out! |
