Shannon, I don't know you, but you say you are a praying woman, so we have that in common...Just try to give it all to God, and just rest in His love....Thank Him for his healing touch for Pixie...I believe in the power of prayer, and I know you do too...I'm so sorry you are having to deal w/such pain...I will be praying for you and Pixie...

Shannon my family is praying for Pixie and we all send our love. These people who get caught using their cell phones while driving should lose their licence. I saw a car hit a lady with a baby on the sidewalk because she was on the cell phone. The laws aren't strict enough for these jerks. Paying a fine is not enough because they keep doing it over and over again. Taking away their licence is the only way to cure them.

Thank goodness for your vet! I kept thinking her leg may have to be redone, ya know, but hopefully not now!

Plus, you got her in there within the 'Golden Hour', so that has to count tons in terms of her recovery...

I'm on the edge of my seat too, (as are many I'm sure) if that helps any.... I just really can't imagine what you're going through, just that it has got to be horrible. One minute walking the dog, the next flying down the road to the vet's! Thank God you weren't hit too!

I have four pups I used to walk together, but now the most I take at one time is two, bc I feel I can better control the two in any situation, and bc of the number of Bull dogs in the general area. One never knows what's going to happen. Plus we live pretty well off the beaten path, so I have a false sense of safety and security, bc many times younger drivers come zooming down the roads and I always have to be aware of that, although with all the beauty of Spring it is easy to forget.

Okay, enough of my rambleing, I will pray for some peace for you, as the first 24 hours after an accident are usually critical. Is your vet open 24/7 ? I pray so....

Oh my goodness, that is so horrible. I'm praying for Pixie to have a full, successful recovery.

I just got back from seeing Pixie. She is holding her own but is in a lot of pain. She cried and cried while I was there. Broke my heart to see her like that. Vet says that she is doing as well as she can be and we will know more in the morning. I asked him if they could make her more comfortable but he said they have her on as big a dose of pain killers as they dare give her because of her size.

I will go see her again first thing in the morning, unless I have to go back tonight for something. They have a tech in all night and the vet comes in if he is needed so at least she will not be alone and if she needs something someone is there. that makes me feel a little better.

Oh baby girl you just have to get better!!!!!

Poor little Pixie! We will keep praying for her! Try to get some sleep tonight, mommy. I'm sure you're emotionally exhausted.

You are breaking my heart...........I will keep Pixie in my thought and keep checking back for updates. You have a lot of support behind you and your little girl.

Ugh that's so unfair and it makes me so mad when drivers don't pay attention to the road. I do talk on the phone when I drive but ONLY with an ear piece. I just said a prayer for your little one!!!!

I am praying so hard that Pixie has a restful night and the strength to recover fully. My heart goes out to you and Pixie. YT prayers are the best.

I just heard from the vet, they are moving Pixie to another hospital, one that has a doctor on all night. They have a tech on all night at my vet but they want her to have a doctor right there if she should need one. I actually feel better about that, she will be way further away from me, this other hospital is about 40 minutes from me, but it is better for her. I asked them to make sure the other hospital notifies me immediately if there is ANY change at all. If I manage to sleep tonight my phone will be right beside me.

Dear God please let her make it thru the night.
