| I just read this thread and want you to know I will keep you and Max in my thoughts and prayers. Winston too has seizures, they were very scary at first, but not so much any more. I too went through wondering what was the cause...the trigger...never really came up with an answer. His are infrequent now, he is unmedicated, the vet seems to think his are brought on by low blood sugar, so he eats frequent meals and snacks and we try to keep his level of activity minimal. So far so good, although they do still occur on occasion. Winston started having these when he was 2 years old and he is now 7, gosh how time flies.

| UPDATE: I thought Max was doing well on the phenobarb. Last night he had another cluster of seizures. I took him to the ER where they did not want to medicate him, they sent me home with rectal valium (my request) until I could get him back to the neurologist this morning. So while at the neurologist's, he had another seizure so they recommended that he stay the rest of the day and the night there for observation. He then had another episode so he got a dose of valium and an IV dose of phenobarb. I will pick him up in the morning providing he does well overnight. ![]() Please continue to pray for him.

| I'm so sorry. I thought he was doing well, too. All I can do is keep him in my prayers and send hugs to you. Bless his sweet little heart. I know it's hard to be separated from him.

| Max is in my prayers. I'm hoping the phenobarbital is just needing some time to kick in his system. I'm so sorry you are going through this. He'll be ok.

| I'm so sorry Max is having seizures again. It is such a frightening thing to see. When Sammy started pheno he still had seizures but then when the vet added KBR, that is what really helped. He hasn't had a seizure since 2002. Sending get well prayers for Max and hugs to both of you! |

| I am so sad to read that Max had a setback. Please keep us posted what the vet says in the morning.

| I'm so glad things went well last night with Max. I hope this is just a matter of finding his right cocktail of meds.
