| I'm so very sorry to hear about Carlo. It just saddens my heart. It's a tough decision to have to make because no one ever wants to let go. I believe that animals have a way of letting us know when the time is right. So, listen to Carlo and maybe he can help you make that hard decision. I know you will do what is best for your big guy. Please let us know how he is doing.

| We talked it over. We believe that Carlo is not ready to leave us, and will make one last attempt to get him cancer free again. We will have a larger tissue Biopsy on Friday with the Specialist and Radiologist. We agreed that we will not be just increasing the Prednisone doage as that makes him drink gallons, pant constantly, be become agitated and anxious. We will go for the Chemo round after we know fir sure if it is Lymphoma or Mast Cell Cancer as the drug treatment is different. He still has a lot of life, is not in pain, loves to be with us, and is active as a 2 mile walk today testified. Looks like I will be going a while longer with no new Harley. So far, we have laid out close to $17,000 for everything pertaining to his treatments. Heck, if I did not spend it on him, my best buddy, nothing else would really matter. Dogs can be expensive, but they are family and you sacrifice. Thanks again for the well wishes, will keep you posted as we find out more after the next Biopsy. Maxine still gets in his face and lets him know that sick or not, she is still the dog boss. |

| That was the decision you wanted to make all along. It is hard to know what the right thing is to do, because you don't want them to suffer. I think you have made the right decision for you and for Carlo. Maxine needs someone to boss around!

| I just want to say I think that you know best and I'm sure you are doing and will continue to do what is best for Carlo. You know him better than anyone and only you will know when he's had enough. Try not to let the fear of the future change the joy that you have with him now. I went through something similar with my pointer years ago. Just enjoy every day you have together now. Down the road this will give you peace. |

| I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for you and your family. I know you will do what is right for Carlo. I have such respect for you and Marge. You have such love for Carlo and Maxine and countless other animals that you don't even know. You are always there to lend a hand to help other animals in need of medical care. I know that you will do what is best for Carlo. I am very hesitant to even mention this and I've wrestled with whether or not I should even bring this up. Over the past fifteen years, I went to my veterinarian several times a year with my three girls. He has a large following of people coming to his small practice. Some of these people travel great distances to see him. I've talked with many people throughout these years. I really know nothing personally about this, but my vet has a great deal of success with herbal remedies he has developed for cancer. I spoke with many people who went there who were given no hope at all from their own vets. Some people either were referred by their own vets as a last resort or have gone to emergency hospitals and were referred to his practice. I saw many dogs either cured of cancer or given much longer time to live because of his treatments. He treated my dogs mostly with conventional medicine because giving them herbs was challenging, to say the least. When they did take them, they helped them a great deal for treatments for their heart, skin infections that persisted after giving clavamox, trachea, etc. I certainly am not encouraging you to not listen to your doctors, but I wonder if your doctor would consider a consult with him. Steve, I'm sure in my heart that you always do what's best for Carlo because of your deep love for him. It was just really bothering me that I know of something that possibly could help him, and if I didn't mention it, I feel I would be letting you down. I understand that some people don't believe in things like this, and I'm not sure I would have believed as much if I didn't experience it myself and see so many other animals being helped. I have no idea in Carlo's case if it could help, but I figured I'd give you the information and you'd do with it if you want. Discard it if you think it's nonsense. If you think it could work, have your vet consult with him. Whatever you choose, it will be right for your family, and I will continue to pray for positive results. | I would guess early next week. I also just got off the phone with his regular Vet who has treated him all of his life. She said I owe it to him to find out the cancer type, and then decide. She was honest, and said his age is a factor, and it is not good that cancer has come back 3 months after his Chemo. She said I can keep him comfortable as long as possible, with Prednisone that he is on now, and the Pepcid AC and add in Benedryl, and other meds as required. She fears that since it is on his liver, it will spread soon. Still, as many here have said, do what is right for him, and not for me. I am very lucky as I still have him after 11 years. She seems to think it will be Mast Cell Cancer. |

| Carlo has got to be the cutest dang Canorkie there ever was and I hope you guys have many more good days together. He'll let you know if and when he's had enough and I know that each and every day together has to be only more special for all of you. From your posts, it sounds like he's not ready to quit pulling you around the neighborhood just yet, so I refuse to be sad for him. Keep on truckin', Carlo!

| Steve, so sorry you are dealing with this again. I hope the second biopsy doesn't reveal what the vet "thinks" Carlo is lucky to have parents like you and Marge who care and love him as deeply as you do. Sending thoughts and prayers your way through this difficult time.

| Steve, so sorry to hear about the lab results. I admire you for doing what you know is best for Carlo. Speaking from experience, he will let you know when he's had enough and cannot go on. Sending hugs and prayers.
